ATTENTION: THE VIDEO CLIP IS RIGHT ABOVE THIS LINE. JUST CLICK AND WATCH! BE SURE TO SEE THE PICTURES OF THE UNDERSIDE AS THERE IN NO RUST! As the title says, this is a 1982 Porsche 911 SC Targa. The color is the VERY RARE Pastel White. This Porsche has been remarkably well cared for and always been garage kept and never driven on salty, snowy roads. This car has only been driven approximately 4100 miles per season in nice weather for pleasure only. Let me first tell you what this car is NOT. It is NOT a repainted, bondo laden, rust repaired, resurrected from the dead car. This is a well taken care of, garage kept, carefully driven, ORIGINAL PAINT, NO ACCIDENT 4 owner car, two of which were in the same family. This car has a perfectly clean AutoCheck report that you can click on above and see for yourself. This car has NO ACCIDENT HISTORY!!! The interior has DEALER INSTALLED when the car was purchased, Recaro Seats that are in beautiful shape. The seats have a power option control for each seat that were never hooked up. The seats have an array of knobs to manually move the seat forward and back and also lumbar and assorted other adjustments. You can certainly power them if you wish. The carpet is original and in perfect condition. THE DASHBOARD IS PERFECT!! There are NO cracks or imperfections. All gauges work.......even the VDO clock keeps perfect time. Brakes operate perfectly and the pedal is nice and high and firm. THE ENGINE HAS ZERO LEAKS AND DRIPS!! REMARKABLE!! THE UNDERSIDE PAN OF THIS CAR IS 100% RUST FREE. ALL THE ORIGINAL UNDERCOAT IS INTACT. LOOK AT THE STILL PICTURES OF THE UNDERSIDE OF THIS CAR. I'm sure you will never find another Porsche of this vintage like this on the East coast!! Look at the rocker panels and the inner door jambs around the hinge mountings. There is not an iota of rust......not even discoloration. The tires are about 80% and the Porsche wheels look like they came out of the factory yesterday!! There is NO CURB RASH, peeling or any other imperfections. Any brownish coloration that you may see on the sill plate is Cosmoline rust proofing from the factory!! IT IS NOT RUST COLORATION. It can be removed with a solvent if you wish. As I said, the body is lazer straight.........all original paint. You will be hard pressed to find even a slight door ding. You will find some minute stone chips that have been touched up. The Targa top is in MINT condition with no cracks in the beautiful pebble grain vinyl. One of the hooks that lock the top in position is inoperative and you have to "play" with the top a bit to get it into position.......nothing real critical. I'm sure it can be repaired if you feel it is necessary. The A/C blows warm....needs a recharge. The hood shocks need replacing, and the steering wheel bushings have slight play.......quite normal for the year and mileage. The motor, transmission and clutch are fantastic. The engine runs perfectly and the transmission shifts smoothly. The clutch is nice and tight with absolutely no slippage. All in all this is a great ORIGINAL example of this car. The care it has had is clearly obvious. I have had the pleasure to put about 400 miles on this car and it performs flawlessly. I would not hesitate to turn the key and drive it cross-country. I do not think you will be able to replace this car in this condition on the East coast. I have the original manuals, a skillion receipts and even the original card with the key number from Germany and the original manual for the Recaro Seats with the guaranty card. The manual gives detailed instructions on how to power the seats if you choose. My name is Mike and you can call me anytime until 10:00PM EST with any questions. If you are local, feel free to come and check it out.......bring your mechanic if you like! (973) 906-2188.
