Vehicle Detail
This is a 1 owner F250 2 wheel drive with an automatic transmission. It is currently registered, has a current smog check, has a clean title (the original little pink one actually) and has been in no accidents. It is configured for a camper which means it has the pass through rear window, communication box so you can talk with who is in the camper, tie down set up for the front and back of the bed and all 3 power hookups are already installed within the bed of the truck. It also has the electric brake adjustment device if you are towing a trailer with electric brakes. It has 2 gas tanks so you can travel anywhere in the US you want. It has the heavy duty suspension and the 7.5 liter motor so it can haul or tow anything you want. You don't have to use this for a camper but I wanted to let you know it is ready for this if you want. This is much better than just tossing a camper in the back of any old truck because the wiring won't be ready, the tie downs to secure the camper would have to be installed and the suspension would have to beefed up. Have you ever seen a camper on the back of the truck and the back end was sagging? That is because someone did just that, tossed a camper on the back of a regular truck. This truck is already set up. It won't sag in back when the camper is installed. The other reason I wanted to point out this camper readiness is because this truck has spent it's whole life in camping grounds during the summers and not hauling construction materials, landscaping machinery, paint stuff, trash, or any number of other items most people haul with heavy duty trucks like this. If you want a virgin truck that has not been abused this is the one. It is 24 years old so has the normal wear any vehicle would have at this age but having said that their are no major dents, the seat is not torn up, the dash is not cracked and the electric windows and door locks work fine. It even has the stock radio. It actually has low miles at only 7,000 miles per year. The tires are in fair condition. The headliner sags a bit. The paint on the roof top is pealing. There is no rust. Lastly, I am a small car dealer (just me) so if you are in California you will have to pay sales tax. I don't charge any other fees, just the price of the truck and sales tax. You'd have to pay tax if you bought from a private party anyways although many people fib about this to the dmv. I don't fib. Taxes are part of life and I like to do things the right way. I hope you understand. The benefit though is that I will do the dmv for you because I can use the dealer only dmv in Placentia. If you don't live in California you won't have to pay sales tax. I can pick you up at a local airport if you live far away and you can drive it home. I live near John Wayne Santa Ana, Ontario and LAX airports. I can also drop it off at a local shipper if you want as most will ship anywhere in the US for around $700 to your front door. I may be able to also use an auction shipper for around $300 although they'd only take it to a local auction in your area where you'd have to meet and pick up there. I am not sure about that option yet though. But we can figure it out easily enough. I can also store the truck for you for up to 4 weeks in my warehouse for free. I of course expect you to pay for the truck within a week but I can store it for you until you figure out how/when you want to pick it up. Good luck and email me if you have ?'sOn Apr-29-11 at 10:27:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked if it has any leaks and it does not leak even 1 drop of oil or trans fluid or water on the ground. I have also been asked about photos of the headliner which is odd. It is blue felt and just sags a bit that is all. There are no holes or rips in it. It is just 24 years old. I will have it redone if someone buys it as it is cheap and easy to do. On May-01-11 at 10:47:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked to lower my buy it now price so what I have decided to do is lower it by $100 a day starting today and see if that helps meet anyone's budget who is considering this truck. If you feel you want to buy it now don't hesitate thought because over 200 people have looked at the ad and 9 are actively watching the ad so even though I will be at $2000 in 4 days someone else might decide it is worth $2400 and buy it today. I just don't want to see someone miss out on the opportunity to buy the truck over a few hundred dollars is all. I hope this idea helps. Also if you want to use a camper with this truck there are plenty for sale on the internet for $500 or even less. I can try to obtain one in my area for you if you want. They are mostly made in the 1970's but 1980's campers can be bought for around $700.
