Vehicle Detail
1988 K-5 Silverado 4X4 The Good: Runs very good and 4 wheel drive works as well. Rebuild Jasper 700R4 transmission installed before I purchased it. 4 inch Rancho suspension with dual shocks in the front. 33 inch pro comp tires with less than 500 miles on them. Interior in good condition for the age of the truck. Interior has not been abused but needs to be cleaned. Transmission, transfer case and both differential fluids changed within the last 2 years. power windows work but motors are slow. Factory tow hitch with harness. New brake lines, disc pads, shoes and drums. The frame is solid with only surface rust. The Bad: The body is very rough. The driver's door has a dent in it. It has rust typical of this age Blazer that has been driven in alot of snow and salt. I want to make this clear, it has rust holes in the floor boards through out the vehicle. It basically needs new floor boards in the rear from the fender wells to the tailgate. The rocker panels need to be replaced along with the front floor boards. Floor boards are bad in front of the rear seat. The fenders, rear quarters and doors also have rust but not as bad. Even though the floor boards have rust holes, the seat belts seats, etc. are pretty solid. In other words, they are weak but you can't stick your foot through them. The steering column is a little loose and the steering box has play in it. Smokes a little when first started then stops. The engine was replaced with a 305 out of another Blazer by the previous owner, but has plenty of power. A/C needs a line connected. The dash has cracks in it. Though the body is rough, this blazer is mechanically sound. It took me through the deep snow in the blizzard of 2010 without a problem. It can be used as a restoration project, parts or drive as is like I have been doing. I'm sure I'm leaving alot out so email with any questions. This vehicle is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime without notice. Pictures will be added soon.
