Vehicle Detail
1971 Chevy 1 ton : I built a version of the truck from the 4th Fast and Furious movie. Started with a 1971 extended wheel base one ton truck with a mint cab and front clip. The truck was lowered 9 inches in the rear to accomodate the 41 inch tall semi truck super single wheels and tires. The rear wheels are 22.5 x 14.5 inches. The front wheels I had milled from 19.5 inches to 19 inches in order to run 19 inch lower profile tires. There are far more tire sizes to choose from in 19 inch than there are in 19.5. The frame was C notched in the rear. Custom bed fabricated. Bed has a storage compartement in the floor. Adjustable height fifth wheel reciever with mounting points hidden under the bed floor. LED taillghts, Front end lowered with 3 inch drop spindles and 2 inch lowering springs. Frontend gone through and realigned. GM Goodwrench 350, Turbo 400 automatic. Original AC truck all in place, I believe the compressor needs to be replaced to get the AC functional. The seats in the cab are original adjustable suspension bucket seats, very neat like something you would see in an old semi. 5 inch chrome exhaust stacks ran behind cab with cutouts under the back of cab. Custom billet brackets for stacks were made on waterjet. This truck about sits 3 inches lower than the movie truck. The body was in excellent condition to begin with and was primed and blocked out to perfection. The paint was wet sanded and buffed until it looked like glass. The paint is show quality. The truck runs and drives excellent, is great for show or towing your hotrod, race car, or boat. This truck would be a great candidate for a 502 big block like the actual movie truck had or even a diesel conversion. Would make a great push truck as well. The fifth wheel hitch is removeable and any custom bike or Harley will fit in place to be hauled. This truck will not be sold for peanuts so dont waste my time if you dont have the financial means to buy this. If you have any qestions you can call Mitch at 406-250-6997. Or email Mitch or Shannon through ebay. Winning bidder is entering into binding agreement to purchase. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I have had buyers ship my cars all over the world - FOREIGN BIDDERS WITH GOOD FEEDBACK ARE WELCOME. Shipping from zip code 59901, Kalispell montana Here is a link to the movie truck video.
