You are bidding on a restored 1967 Volkswagen Microbus 13-Window Deluxe. It has been restored to a high quality and is ready for shows or daily driving. The entire restoration was thoroughly documented, and all paperwork will be transferred to the new owner. This bus is simply beautiful. Bodywork Paint - Velvet Green (L512) and Pearl White (L87) · All previous paint meticulously hand-sanded and removed, down to bare metal. · Professionally prepared with 4 iterations of priming and wet-blocking. The panel straightness bears witness to this. See for yourself in the images. · Paint colors match vehicle M-Code plate. · Clear coated and color sanded to produce a beautiful finish Body Work · Body is rust free, including underbody. The only rust to be found is light surface-rust on the cylinder jugs. · Numerous panels professionally replaced. Paperwork available to demonstrate all work done. Contacts available for discussing the quality of the work done. · Underbody sanded and coated with POR-15. · 2 unsmooth areas exist on the underbody. These are liquid weld / fiberglass areas covering drilled out areas from previous owners. The worst of these areas is demonstrated in the photos. · All seals replaced with quality reproduction rubber (windows, doors, engine, pop-outs, etc). Body Components · Original bumpers made of VW metal (ie thick, quality metal). Straightened and repainted silver white (L82). · Molding polished and reinstalled with new color strip. · New windshield wipers + wiper reservoir bottle. · New turn signal, tail light, and brake lenses. · Door latches sandblasted and repainted. · New front VW emblem. · New radio antenna. Interior - Mesh Platinum (K518). · Interior paint stripped and repainted Pearl White (L82). · Interior walls covered with sound-proofing materials to minimize road and engine noise. · Interior panels replaced with reproduction panels from Wolfsburg West. · Seats frames stripped and re-painted. · Reproduction hair seat pads installed and re-upholstered with new reproduction covers. Covers show wrinkling, which is demonstrated in the photos. · Matching seat belts installed (8 total) true to M-Code plate. · New headliner professionally installed. · Rubber floor mat added to front and cargo areas. Cargo area floor mat shows wrinkling, which is demonstrated in the photos. Engine (1600cc) · Freshly rebuilt and broken in with 400 miles on the odometer. New crankcase, bearings, crankshaft, and pushrods. · Capable of hitting 80mph on the interstate comfortably. · Weber 34 ICT dual carburetor. · 009 distributor. Electrical · 1967 was the last year of the Split Window VW Bus and the first year of the 12V system (upgraded from a 6V system). This is a unique year for buses. · Electrical system performs flawlessly. · Fully re-wired with a new wiring harness, fuse box, turn signal, relays, and battery. · Dash clock is non-functional. Fuel System · Gas tank rebuilt/painted, new fuel sending unit. · New fuel lines + filter. · Restored fuel gage. · Dual carburetor system installed for increased highway performance. Suspension, steering, brakes, etc. · Reduction gear boxes removed and modified with an IRS transmission. Increases the top highway speed to roughly 85mph. · Wheels stripped to bare metal and repainted in silver white (L82). · Spare tire stripped, repainted black, and mounted. · New tie rods and tie rod ends. · Stainless steel flex brake lines. · New tires. · Remaining suspension components remain stock and untouched.
