2004 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON We are the 2nd owner of this fun vehicle. This Jeep was used at our summer home and kept in storage in winter. We bought the Jeep with 12K miles on it in 2006. In 5 years we have put only 17K miles on it. It is in great condition with normal wear. There are no dents or rust. We recently upgraded the stereo system including an iPOD dock. After a phone call to the Wisconsin DMV, 800-924-3570, in Madison, here is what we were told by the Research & Information agent. 1) "Corrected Title" -We originally applied for a Wisconsin title on 5/30/2006. However, Wisconsin DMV incorrectly listed my wife's name on the title. We had her name changed on 3/26/2008. Every time there is a change to the title, Wisconsin lists it as "corrected". As a result, each time AutoCheck "sees" a title related to a vehicle, they count them and report the total as "Calculated Owners". AutoCheck incorrectly reported (3) owners. Again, we are the 2nd owner. 2) "Not Actual" Mileage -During the transfer of the title from Iowa to Wisconsin, the Odometer Status was incorrectly recorded by the Wisconsin DMV. The Odometer Reading is still correct at 12,414 miles, at the time of transfer on 5/30/2006. Since mileage reporting is not required for yearly registration in Wisconsin, the "Not Actual" status carried over each year. Again, the 27,905 miles you see in the pictures of the odometer on the 2004 Jeep Rubicon are actual. To remove the "Not Actual" mileage error, we were instructed by the Wisconsin DMV to send the title back to Madison, WI to the Research & Information Department. They will be issuing us a new title with the "Not Actual" Odometer Status removed. The "clean" title will be back in time to present to the winning bidder.
