Vehicle Detail

This is a very nice 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe that I have owned for eleven years--I am only the third owner of this car. The car was a locally owned vehicle all of it's life. It is in very good condition and I have enjoyed being it's caretaker throughout this time. Features include automatic transmission, which was important to my wife and I so she was able to drive. It also has upgraded tires (now 14") with correct factory wire wheel covers and stainless steel Ford door edge guards. Car is also equipped with a black vinal top in the correct material/grain pattern. Exterior work performed over the years has included new rear quarter panels, left front floor section, trunk drop panel and rear frame rail (left side as I remember). All welding was done by a good friend who is ASE Master Certified using a Century 240 volt MIG welder. The left door had a dent and some rust so we replaced it. The car was also refinished in the original Raven Black using single-stage urethane. I was able to use the original VIN/Data tag which decodes as follows: Warranty Number: 5F07T626962 Year: 5 1965 Plant: F Dearborn, MI Body Series: 07 2 Door Hardtop Engine: T 200 1v I6 Unit: 626962 626962 Miscellaneous Vehicle Data Body: 65A Color: A Trim: 25 Date: 103 D.S.O: 31 Cincinnati (Special Order Unit ) Axle: 2 Trans: 6 Interior is like new including new seat upholstery, new door trim panels, new carpet/carpet underlayment, new headliner, new dash pad, new kick panels, new woodgrain steering wheel, new seatbelts--front and rear, new instrument panel bezel and many smaller miscellaneous trim parts/hardware ie: door/window handles, package tray, etc. All painted surfaces were refinished in the correct colors. Mechanically the car is also good and safe. Tires/Brakes/Shocks have been replaced, new fuel tank and line, carburator was also replaced but it really needs to be properly adjusted--I think the car ran smoother with the old unit. Waterpump, exhaust manifold with complete system (all new pipes/clamps) and radiator were also replaced, along with regular maintenence items, fluid changes and new battery. We are both older adults now with health issues. We bought a newer Mustang that has air-conditioning which is important to us. The black '65 now just sits in the garage so it is time to let someone else enjoy it. There is no reserve so someone will win this car. All books and manuals as shown also come with the car. Winning bidder will be expected to PayPal a deposit of $300 within 48 hours of auction end. The balance is to paid in person with cash when car is picked up, which should be within ten days. The car is at our home in Madeira, Ohio 45243. We are only ten minutes from I-71 northeast of Cincinnati. We can make final arrangements and share contact information after auction ends. I am easy to work with.
