Vehicle Detail

This car is almost finished and all the hard work is already done. I've included pictures of the vehicle prior to tear down to show how solid it is. It was HAND STRIPPED to remove all paint on body. The few rough spots were cut out and repaired professionally. All exterior trim was removed and the mounting holes welded shut. Door handles and locks, including trunk lock, were shaved. Vehicle was then sprayed in an epoxy primer. A 4-door popper kit w/ trunk popper is included. Also comes with a replacement front windshield - the current one has a large crack. The car will need replacement side windows. You can buy a new replacement set on eBay for about $200 for all, or at a salvage yard cheaper. Except for the side trim pieces and front fender pieces, all other lights, trim, bumpers, etc are included. I pulled the interior completely to insure there were no rough spots. I hand scrubbed the floor with a wire brush (all it needed), wiped down with acetone, and sprayed it in a rust converter / corrosion preventative paint. I removed all weather trim as it was all dry rotted - to be expected. There was / is NO damage to the floorboards. There is a coat of surface rust on the underside of the car. I haven't gotten around to sandblasting the belly yet. Interior needs refurbishing but is all there and solid - minus the headliner, carpet and door panels. This is a red interior, double bench seat car. The motor and transmission are out. Motor is on a stand inside my garage as is the automatic transmission. Included will be an extra 1963 Cruise-o-Matic transmission in fair shape. The motor is a 302 out of a 1969 Ford Thunderbird (verified by block #'s). It ran strong and clean. I tore the motor down but did not separate or remove internals or heads due to the fact it ran so well. I cleaned everything and stripped it all to metal by hand and painted it all in ceramic paint. I replaced the water pump, fuel pump, oil pump and screen, water collar, installed a new double-chain timing chain and gears, and replaced all seals I removed. Oil pan was cleaned out, stripped, and painted with ceramic paint. The firewall fuse box is cracked and broken so a NOS fuse box is included. This is a solid, mostly finished, nearly complete project. I have a new baby and just can't afford to work on it anymore. I can deliver for .50 /mile and to a distance within reason. The motor, transmissions and interior are in my home garage. The body is in a body shop garage about 5 miles away. If you have any questions ask. This will be a bill of sale only transaction - no title. On Apr-24-11 at 12:51:55 PDT, seller added the following information: *** I have added two pictures showing underneath the valve covers because several of you have asked about it *** If you have any other questions feel free to ask, time is running out.....
