Vehicle Detail

The Pinto you are looking at is a very solid car given its age. It is a Pinto Runabout, which means it has a hatchback and a folding rear seat. I had originally wanted to restore this car myself, as I think Pintos are pretty cool. First I'll name the good things; It has the 2.3L motor used in Mustangs, it has a 4 speed transmission that shifts really nice. The interior is ultimately in good shape, theres a crack in the dashpad on the drivers side, and the left side of the drivers seat has tears, all other seats are good, and the headliner only has 3 very small holes. (Pen sized) It looks really good inside and out, and has air conditioning, which worked when last I ran it. Despite being a subcompact, this car feels very roomy in the front seats, and the backseats aren't too bad if the fronts are willing to slide up a bit. When the car ran, it was fun to drive, and not slow like people would like to believe. Now for the bad; The right fender has a large rust hole, and I have included a spare fender with surface rust to go with the pinto, depending on what you'd rather like to fix. The car ran when I bought it, and ran very nicely after I did some work to it, but then something happened to the wiring and it will not start. I believe it needs a new voltage regulator, fusible linkage, and solenoid. It has no muffler. (I took it out because I was gonna put Cherry Bomb glasspacks on) The rear leaf springs/carriage springs have broken, and will need to be replaced.So... you will not be able to drive this home, and it would be better in fact that it gets flat-bedded there. But If you want a Pinto to restore you could do far worse than to buy this one, because theres only ONE rust hole, on the fender, and I'm throwing in SPARE PARTS, like some headlights, tail lights, and a fender thats in better shape than that one.
