THIS 1969 CALIFORNIA CHEVY SHORT BED TRUCK IS EQUIPED WITH FRONT POWER DISC BRAKES, POWER STEERING, FRONT LOCKING HUBS, UPPER AND LOWER BODY SIDE MOULDINGS, BUILT 454 MOTOR, BUILT TURBO 400 TRANS, 205 TRANSFER CASE, NEWER 14 BOLT REAR END WITH POSI, TILT, FACTORY AC, BEADLOCK RIMS, THE BODY AND PAINT- The body on this truck is in over all good condition with factory floor pans that still have the original paint from the factory they are solid with minor light surface rust only. The original kick panels are the same and they are in good condition with a few small bubbles and surface rust only. The original tunnel and fire wall is in good condition and has not been cut up or beat on the paint on the fire wall is also original and is clean. The bed sides are in good condition and look to be solid but above the upper trim they are a little wavy. The short bed bottom is in good condition and is not wavy or beat up. Both the doors are original and still have the original paint on the bottom of the doors and on the inside of the truck the doors and have not been patched or tampered with these doors are solid. Both the front fenders are also original to the truck and are not cut on or patched on or tampered with they are in great condition. The inner fender wheels are in good condition and are not rusty and have not been patched or tampered with. The original inner and outer rocker panels and cab corners are super solid and are not rusted out or full of body filler and will not need to be cut off or replaced they are in super condition. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both out side and inside are rust free and are in good condition. the rain gutters are not rusty or bubbly. The hood is in good condition but is a little wavy in the center but not to bad. The body on this truck is not a rusty mess or full with body filler to hide rust. The factory color is a maroon poly and the door jams and the inside of the truck cab looks to be the original paint and is in super condition. The paint on this truck looks to be a few years old and is not really chipped or scratched or beat up but was not a high end paint job. I would say it is an ok paint job and is good enough to drive around and is not embarrassing. THE INTERIOR- The inside of this truck is mostly original except for the seats was recovered and it is in good condition. The original style rubber mat is in good condition and is not worn out. The dash pad is original and is in good condition but has a small crack on the top but still looks good. The original sun visors are in good condition. The dash bezel and the original gauges are in good condition. The inside of this truck is in over all nice condition and is clean looking. The felts and rubbers are newer and are in good condition. THE MOTOR- This motor is a built 454 with headers, Holley carb, Edelbrock air gap intake. This is a great running super strong motor that sounds great. Their is no lack of power with this motor. THE TRANS/TRANSFER CASE - The trans is a turbo 400 that works great. This transmission has a mild shift kit. The rear end is a nice tight rear end that dose not clunk or howl. When you drop this truck in to gear there is no universal joint clunks or noises. The 4x4 works in this truck. OVER ALL- This truck is equipped with a 7" lift and 38" super swampers tsl tires and champion beadlocks. The Duel magnaflow exhaust is newer and it sounds great. The electrical in this truck is good condition and is in good working order. All the glass is in good condition and is not cracked or pitted but the windshield has a small chip. The ac is missing the pump and the rest of it looks to be intact. The front and rear bumper are original and is the chrome is a little dull but they are in good condition. The original grille shell is in good condition for being original and is not beat up but has two small holes down low. The drive train in this truck is not worn out and this truck has not been overly 4 wheeled and twisted up it has mainly been a street truck. This truck started life as a 3/4 ton 2wd long bed but was converted to a 3/4 ton 4x4 and the frame was shorten and plated on the back side to fit a stock short bed. This truck was built by a man in northern California and he has been converting only dry rust free original truck in to 4x4 for years and his work was nicely done. This conversion is not a hack job. This truck has never had a full ground up restoration and it is not perfect show truck and its not a new truck but over all its a clean truck that performs and looks great.
