2001 Jaguar S Type 4.0 - One Owner - 42,600 miles Beautiful one owner 2001 S-Type 4.0 with optional sport package. Let me begin by saying we LOVE this car, and feel so guilty it is rarely driven any more.... Unfortunately, we are usually hauling more kids than will fit in this car, so our loss is your gain! Also, we are 2 hours away from a Jaguar dealer, and no one in our area can work on this fine automobile. We leased this car new and loved it so much, we bought it off the lease. Original list price was $51,000. The car had regular service until we moved in 2006 to an area without a nearby dealer. This past October, we did full 60,000 mile service and replaced the A/C compressor, valve cover gaskets and seals, spark plugs, and the headliner. Right now, the car is running rough and the check engine light is on. We have been told by a trusted mechanic with 35+ years of Jaguar experience that it is probably bad timing chain tensioners. But we don't know this for a fact. This car is being sold AS IS, so please ask any questions prior to bidding. It's a great deal for someone who can work on the car or has a good mechanic. The car has never been in an accident or had any body work. The exterior is in great shape for a ten year old car with no noticable door dings. There is a small area on the lower back bumper that is scraped (see photos). The interior is gorgeous - the only seat that shows any wear at all is the driver seat. No one has ever smoked in the car and it has always been in a garage. It is fully loaded with power everything and a sunroof.
