Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan 2 door clup coupe, series 9EH, 6 passenger. A total of 7685 were built and who knows how many are left. This car weighs in at 4194 lbs., with a wheelbase of 125" and an overall length of 220.5". This car still has the original flathead V8 in it, with a displacement of 336.7 cu. in., and rated at 152 hp. This still has the original Holley 2-barrel carb. The transmission is a 3 speed with overdrive. This car has been in long term storage, possibly 15 to 20 years. The brakes have been rebuilt, (new master cylinder and brake cylinders). The carburetor was cleaned out but could still use some adjustments. The mechanical fuel pump has been bypassed with an electric pump. The car still has a 6 volt electrical system. I have driven this car around the block a few times, the engine sounds good and runs quiet. A new dual exhaust system was installed just prior to being stored. The car shifts fine and the overdrive is working. This has aftermarket gauges install, ( oil, temp, charge, tach) and they all seem to work. The horn works but not the radio. None of the windows are working. The electric motor was trying to go but quite. The window switches seem to work, you can hear the solenoids clicking in the doors. The windsheild is cracked. Even the spotlight works. The power seat is not working The car does have some rust but it is not extensive. The floors appear solid from underneath, I have not pulled the carpet up. There has been some previous body work done but does not appear to be serious. There are some scrape marks down the sides. Chrome is in fair condition, not to pitted. There has been some welding done on the stainless on the drivers side door. There is a set of fender skirts that come with the car as well as some extra parts. This car will run and drive but I would not call it roadworthy without more work. I do have a clear title in the previous owners name, it is a Utah title. Overall this would make a nice restoration project. I would not buy this if you want an easy driver project. If you have any questions please email me. Buyer will be responsible for shipping/moving car. Car needs to be moved within 2 weeks. Please only bid if you have the money and are ready to pick it up.On Apr-22-11 at 05:42:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I just double checked the title. This car is titled in my name. So I can give you a clear Utah title along with a Bill of Sale. So please disregard the above information concerning the title.
