Vehicle Detail

1989 Ford Ranger Extended Cab 4X4 Manual 5 Speed Hello and welcome to my NO RESERVE AUCTION, the price will start at "Scrape" value at the junk yard of $350.00 It really would be a shame to junk this truck, but my buddy has made up his mind and if it doesn't sell, it's off to the junk yard. It's "Spring Time" and he's cleaning up his yard, so his plan is to fill the back of the truck up with scrap metal and make one last run with her and scrap the hole thing. One Owner 184,000 miles, starts and runs, it has been used to haul wood as a farm truck for the last 10 years. This is an XLT Extended Cab model with factory AC and Two Tone Paint, also Factory Alloy Wheels. The engine starts easy but it runs better when cold then hot, once it warms up it will only turn about 3000 RPMs and it’s down on power, so when out on the open road it only has a top speed of about 55 mph, and no longer can maintain that speed when pulling a mountain, like going to Hancock from Hagerstown. Not sure just what the problem is, Distributor? Computer? Has new plugs & wires so it not that. Runs on all four and doesn't over heat, just looses power and RPM. May have a cracked head these 2.9 are known for that, it does use some water about every three tanks of gas. The Body is Ruff, rear quarter panels are rusted through, and will need to be replaced, the paint is pealing on the roof, right side has a very large dent. Three of the tires are very good and one is fair to good. Clutch and transmission are fine. Transferee case and rears are good, no leaks. Class 3 rear tow hitch. 1st Usable “AS IS”…………2nd Fix or replace the engine and you've got a good driver…….. 3rd With some body work & Paint this Truck would make a great 1st time drivers ride. I’m selling this Truck for a very good friend of mine and the truck is located about 10 miles west of Hagerstown in Clear Springs, but to make delivery easier you can pick it up in Hagerstown If you have more questions, call the owner, his name is Mike and his work number is 301-797-5996 (Hagerstown Mopeds) NO "BUY IT NOW" No Offers, NO BS, Auction runs to the end, and truck drives out with a new owner, or a load of scrap to the junk yard, either way no big deal.
