1984 Subaru 4X4 Brat with T-tops. This Brat is all original with original paint and decals. It has a 4 cylinder boxer engine with a 4 speed manual transmission, working 4X4 and an A/C system that should work with a re-charge. The stereo is not original, but is a working after market stereo with cassette. This is a daily driver. It is a dependable vehicle and should have no problem driving anywhere. I would suggest a tune up and have the valves adjusted at some point in the future. It has been around 5 years since its last tune up and I can hear valve chatter which means they need adjusting, and it would improve the proformance. The catalitic converter rattles at times, so I don't know if it needs to be replaced or not, but it wouldn't hurt, it also looks original. It runs good as it is and I trust it the way it is, but it could be better. The A/C system is complete and the comperssor turns over by hand and is not froze up. I was told a re-charge is all it needed to work, It takes R-12, and I can't do it myself. The body has some rust on the rockers, most on passenger side, And some on the rear passenger wheel well. There is another spot in the bed on the driver side wheel hump. I took pictures of all of the places. I have been unable to open the tailgate, but should be an easy fix. Also the front passenger CV joint clicks some while turning, so that might need replacing at some point. This Brat has the rare T-tops that are in good condition. Has factory sliding back window, roll bar. The seats in the bed are missing. This Brat also comes with a set of 4 snow tires not pictured that are mounted on rims and have good tread. These old Brats are getting hard to find in running condition, and this one seems to be loaded with the options. It looks like it has been well care for during its 27 years. If you like Brats, then this is the one. It looks like it was the top of the line in its day and its still in good driving condition. Please ask all you question before you bid.
