Vehicle Detail
For sale: 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. With 25800 original miles. This Cadillac is the last of the big cars before they downsized in 1977. The car is in very good condition and appears to have all original paint, except a small part on the back where I painted the new bumper fillers and had a scratch touched up by a local paint shop on the drivers rear fender. The car has NO RUST, and the body is in very good shape. The interior is in very good shape, the leather is in great shape, with no cracking, the dash is like new, and all the power locks, windows and duel power seats work great. The glass is perfect. The power pull down trunk works and vinyl roof is in great condition. The car come standard with a 501 cubic inch engine, or 8.2 Liters, with a four-barrel carb. It rides like a dream and soaks up the ruts, bumps and railroad tracks just like you remember 34 years ago. The trunk is huge and the power pull down works great. This car is a barn find, or from a time capsule. The original owner kept it in a garage and used it very little; I have paperwork showing a tune up in 2006 with just 19000 miles on the car. It even has its original 8-track stereo in the radio. When I got the car, I pulled the gas tank and it was spotless inside, but I had it boiled out anyway, flushed the gas lines, Replaced the hoses at the back, to the tank. I pulled the carb and had it rebuilt by Carburetor USA. I had a garage that deals only with old cars, install a new radiator, and heater core, then time the engine and fine-tune the carb to run perfect. I had a new exhaust installed. I installed new fillers on the back bumpers, as anyone knows the old ones just dry rot away. What the car needs, The climate control works fine, that is, it directs the air where it should go automatically, but the ac does not blow cold, cool but not cold. My mechanic says the compressor is working; it just needs freon. The power antenna is disconnected. The tires are like new and have lots tread left; I think they were replaced before I got the car. The carpets are a little dirty, from being stored with the windows being partially opened and the dust getting in the car. I have driven this car on 2-hour trips and it drives and runs great. The car gets a lot of attention no matter where I take it. The paint is in very good shape for its age, not perfect, but very nice, the car is 34 years old and has a small scratch here and there. The 1 pic shows a small door ding. I also posted a youtube video of the car at. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xaeudz9c9I
