Vehicle Detail

I purchased this beautiful Sunset Red Triumph 1050 Sprint ST last July from the original owner in Portland Oregon. First owner was a motorcycle cop and instructor who was fanatical about dealer service on the bike and saved all of the receipts/documentation. This It is one of the reasons I was so attracted to buying this bike, in my opinion the right paperwork is worth it weight in gold. I met a friend from California and we rode the coast to Monterey then attended the MotoGP race at Laguna Seca. I then shipped the bike home from San Francisco. The bike is fantastic. Fast, Smooth, and comfortable. It hung right with my friends 2007 BMW k1200gt. I paid $5,900 and the bike had just over 11,000 miles, had the 12k service already completed by dealer, ABS, Heated Grips, Powerbronze Carbon Fiber fender hugger and Chain guard, Triumph Carbon Fiber tank protector, Clear Bra protectors on Tank, Fairing and side panels, 6" outlet plug and pigtail 2 prong cord off the battery for heated gear/accessories, Beautiful red Pazzo adjustable levers (must have for this bike), as well as all of the factory warranty work completed by dealer-receipts included, lastly a set of union jack caps for the tire valves. Bike has Bridgestone Battleax tires with at least 60% left. After I purchased it I added a corbin seat, brand new hardbags/mounts, upgraded more aero efficient Powerbronze windscreen, dealer service manual. All of which totals over $1,500. I will throw in a light weight bike cover too. Original Seat and Windshield included also. Tank Bag in photos is NOT included in sale. The 1050 triple engine is just spectacular. Smooth, Fast, Manageable and Reliable. Original owner told me this engine is a partnership with Triumph and the famous British engine builder Cosworth. Short riders don't let this bike scare you off. I am only 5'6 with 29.5 inseam and I can manage this bike just fine. Corbin seat helps a ton too. I did a ton of research and just could not find any other bike in this price range that had the performance and beauty that this one does. The red color is beautiful as are the grey metallic painted wheels. Combine that with the single swing arm and under seat exhaust and it turns heads everywhere for a budget price. I get tons of compliments when I ride it. Since buying the bike I have seen most of the other 1050 Sprint ST paint colors and honestly there is something about the Sunset Red color that really stands out better than the other Triumph paint colors. Here are some of the reviews and test rides that hail it as one of the best sport tourers ever. http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikereviews/searchresults/Bike-Reviews/Triumph/Triumph-Sprint-ST-2005-current/ http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/257/743/Motorcycle-Article/2007-Triumph-Sprint-ST-Bike-Test.aspx http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/roadtests/122_0510_la_laguna_seca/triumph_sprint_st.html http://www.visordown.com/road-tests/road-test-r1200st-v-st3-v-vfr800-v-sprint-st/4554.html When this bike is not ridden, it is stored in a heated basement, with cover on and battery trickle charger. I am sure I have forgotten somethings and will do my best to update the listing if something else pops up. This bike rides perfectly and everything works as it should. It is so smooth at high speeds it is scary. You can cover a lot of ground on this bike and I kid you not it will do 120mph all day long and 150mph is reachable if you have the need. I would not hesitate for a second to ride this bike cross country and back tomorrow. These 1050 triple motors are bullet proof and ALL of the scheduled service and preventative maintenance has been done on this bike. You will not find a nicer 1050 Sprint ST, with this much documentation, upgrades, accessories and riding history. Why buy one that has been sitting for years and full of surprises when you can purchase this one? Especially in this color scheme at this price? Honestly I buy and sell bikes all the time and can't think of another european sport tourer that comes close to this bike for a starting bid of $5500. This bike was over $12,000 new. I am not only a regular motorcycle rider (averaging 8k-10k miles a year commuting/traveling) and collector. I also have been buying and selling exotic/collectable motorcycles from all over the world for nearly 15 years. My feedback speaks for itself. Bid with confidence knowing that I am the kind of person you want to buy a used bike from. Just to give you an example, here are some of the bikes I have sold on ebay, all of which were nearly perfect examples: BMW- 1971 R75/5 LWB, 1984 R80ST, 1974 R90S, 1992 BMW K1 1982 Moto Guzzi- Monza, 2-1974 Moto Morini 3.5 Sports, 1977 MV Agusta 350 Ipotesi, 1982 Honda CBX, 1982 Ducati Pantah, 1993 Ducati 750ss 1998 Laverda Ghost, 1972 Suzuki GT 750 Waterbuffalo, 1968 Suzuki T500 May buyers have flown in and ridden home, feel free to do the same. MSP airport is a 15 minute cab ride from my house. I am not enthusiastic about selling this bike. I have a new house with a smaller garage and a new job (less pay), kids need summer sports gear and I am finishing a Benelli-Motobi project. Something has to go. Don't waste my time and I won't waste yours. Don't bid on this item if you don't have the funds to buy it. I need this money and don't have time for pretenders or auction spoilers. I will cancel any bid I am not comfortable with. If you have feedback under 10 and or negative feedback email me before you bid to let me know who you are and what your plans are. I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have the funds to purchase this bike, ask questions if you have them. The pictures tell the story. All Sales Final.
