This is a 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra that I bought from the original owner January 14, 2007 with 87,500 miles. Since then, I have garage kept it and only put 5000 easy miles on it as a weekend driver (never raced). The original owner took very good care of it and it is VERY clean and in Great Shape for its age and use. It has NEVER been smoked in! It does have the normal wear to be expected such as rock chips here and there. The interior is in nice shape with no stains or cracks or tears, but does show some wear on the driver seat, shift know, steering wheel, and radio buttons. There is a very small dent in the right quarter panel and a scratch in the middle of the bumper shown in the pictures. I have had a quote from the dealer for both for $600, but never got around to doing it. I am selling it because it never gets driven and I'm about to move and buy a new house. According to the original owner, the engine was broken in to Ford specs, then the engine and transmission oil were changed to Mobil 1 synthetic. The oil and filter was changed every 5000 miles and the tranny every 15,000 miles or once a year first. The tires are Bridgestone Potenzas and are about 3 years old with lots of tread left. When the tires were changed, a four wheel alignment was done, as was done for every set of tires per the original owner. The brake pads have about 15,000 miles on them and have a lot left. The battery and belt are 20,000 miles old. The plugs have about 8500 miles on them and the last oil change was about 1000 miles ago. The fuel pump and filter were changed about 2000 miles ago as well as a complete fuel system cleaning. This car needs nothing whatsoever and I would take it on a long road trip without hesitation. About 25,000 miles ago, $4000 in some bolt on performance parts were added: 1. C&L 80mm Mass air system with K&N filter and heat shield 2. BBK Aluminum Cold Air upper intake tube 3. BBK Dual 62mm Throttle Body port matched to a ported and polished upper intake manifold. 4. BBK Ceramic Long Tube Headers (some ceramic is flaking off as shown in the pictures) and Off Road X-Pipe connected to a Stainless Magnaflow Exhaust 5. March Under drive Pulley kit 6. Ram Aluminum Flywheel with steel insert and Heavy Duty Clutch 7. Diablo Computer Chip tuned on the Dyno at Fuel Injection in San Antonio Texas 8. 2003 Cobra 3.55 Rear end and heavy duty 31 spline axles and installed with solid aluminum bushings to reduce axle hop. 9. The EGR set up and PCV system was removed and K&N valve cover vents installed. The components removed are included if someone wants to put them back on. 10. A 160 degree Thermostat because the all aluminum Cobra engines are sensitive to heat. After all the above stuff was put on the car, it was tuned on a dyno and they got it perfect! With a final 334 horsepower at the rear wheels, which with an approximate drive train loss of 17% is nearly 400 HP at the crank shaft. Not too bad for a bunch of bolt on stuff! The best part is it still gets 24-25 miles per gallon on the highway at 80 mph and 18 - 19 around town if you stay out of the gas. This car also comes with the original window sticker, 1999 Cobra ad pamphlet, and two sets of keys. The car is listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
