Vehicle Detail
This is a real 1969 Pontial GTO cloned to look like the one Royal Bobcat produced by Royal Pontiac for the 1969 production year. Only one Royal Bobcat was built that year. It was painstakingly copied from featured magazine articles in different muscle car magazines. The hood stinger was painted on using a hand made stencil along with the rocker stripes. The car has alot of eyeball and draws attention no matter where it goes. It currently has a 455 in it with PS, PDB and a hood tach (no hooked up). The automatic transmission has the dual gate shifter. The car is super solid. There are bubbles in a few places - down low on the doors, fenders and rocker area, trunk lip and at the corner of the side rear windows. I had new full length floors welded in just recently and a new rear bumper from Ames. The engine and tranny run strong, but it feels like some play in the front end - could be the tires. It has been off the road for a few years. The title has actual mileage of 64,000 though. The interior is in good shape. No tears in the seats. The dash has some cracks and the carpet is faded. Overall, this is a very solid car that still could use a few things. It has tremendous eyeball and there won't be another one at any car show. If you are looking for an inexpensive GTO and want something different than this might be the car for you.On Apr-16-11 at 15:07:30 PDT, seller added the following information:We checked out the front end of the car and found out the left front outer tie rod end was worn. I replaced that today and that tightened up the front end pretty good, so it drives alot better now. Of course, the tires should probably still be replaced. I also forgot to mention that during the last month I replaced the master cylinder, one caliper, both wheel cylinders and all the rubber brake lines front and rear. Also, a few people have asked about the body and frame. The frame is solid, both quarters have been replaced and the original color was code "B" which I believe is Expresso Brown. It looks a thousand times better the Royal Blue. I hope this helps.
