For Sale is a 1959 Cadillac Sedan De Ville. The engine and transmission have a fresh rebuild and less than 600 miles on the drive-train since the work was done. The engine came with a 50K mile/5 year warranty on the work(work was complete in March, 2010), and the engine compartment has been detailed. It has a new gas tank and the rear-end was serviced when the motor work was done. The interior is all original: power steering, brakes, front seat and windows; the original AM radio still works. Carpet is faded in spots but still in good shape. The upholstery looks phenomenal as does the headliner. Door panels are in great shape. The car still has Sears Guardsman Allstate bias ply's with good tread life. The dash is in great shape. The under carriage is clean. The trunk is clean. It has been painted and the paint looks great. (one minor clear-coat imperfection on the hood, about 3 inches long). As far as I can tell the car is a complete, all trim parts are there. (the trunk trim piece has a minor ding). That's about it on this one. The car is a great driver, is a complete and has low miles (the speedometer and odometer work and it reads less than 32k miles and based on the condition of the interior I don't think it has turned over). I bought the car off a doctor about two years ago. All I've done to it so far was get the drive-train rebuilt. I drive it around the neighborhood and to dinner and soccer games but I've discovered I just don't have the time for it. My kids love it. The interior is as it came from the factory with no seat belts. This car is a great driver or an unbelievable base for a restoration.
