Vehicle Detail

You will be bidding on a 1962 Ford F100. This truck is one of only a few years that Ford made the F series in a unibody. My understanding is that this truck's life belonged to the Forestry Service in Idaho for it's useful life and was retired and restored by a gentleman in California (where I purchased it). Doors are tight, as you have to roll down a window to easily close the doors. A thick coating of dura something was put in the bed area to match the exterior color. The mileage shows 5,553 and I know it to have turned, so the true mileage is 105, 553. The dash gauges all work except the tachometer. The vacuum gauge works fine along with the speedometer and odometer. There is a nostalgic compass attached to the dash that usually always points west and I don't have the heart to remove it. The transmission is manual, three speed on the column. The engine is a 6-cylinder, 223 C.I., 135 H.P. On the identification plate inside the glove box, the following information is listed:SN: 10JH282004W.B. 114Color: TModel: F100Trans: AAxle: 11Max G.V.W.: 5000Cert. Net H.P.: 114RPM: 3600D.S.O.: 74 The only things I have had to do to the truck is replace the throw-out bearing, and replace many of the electrical components under the hood. They were not really bad, I just couldn't diagnose a hard to start problem until I replaced everything except the coil wire... and now it starts fine! Just pull the choke lever when it's cold, that's all. The heat works fine although it does not get super hot, and the air works beautifully once you roll the windows down! Feel free to contact me with any questions. Starting bid is $2,500.
