Vehicle Detail

Thanks for looking at this auction. It is for a 1975 Honda XL350. This bike is in decent shape as pictures will attest. It is a good runner (as of last year when I parked it) and rides tight but needs a new battery and some inner tubes (at the least). I have a clear AZ title in my name. It is missing the tachometer cable stay at the head, the chain guard and mirrors, but I don’t think anything else. Included are a set of NOS grips, an NOS gas cap, an NOS output shaft (countershaft) seal, an OEM style seat cover (with the 'Honda' logo), a proper front brake perch (used, with dust cover and lever), and both left and right functioning handlebar switches. The inside of the tank has a very small amount of surface rust, but does not require attention. There are a few very small dings in the tank, but they are impossible to capture with the camera. The chain and sprockets are nearly new. The exhaust pipe is perfect, no dents, NO RUST! (Clean rust free pipes for this bike are still bringing well over $400 on Ebay by themselves, when you can find them.) The heat shield however is not as nice, it is bent a little and needs re-chroming. The gauges have very little if any discernable fade. The gauge glass is perfect. The tripset functions like it should. It definitely needs to be repainted, and probably tuned up at least. I picked the bike up a couple of years ago, spurred by memories from my youth. I rode it a few times, but haven't had time for it lately. I had a new one back in '75 and loved it. It was the first mass produced thumper from Japan. A great wheelie bike. I planned to go through it and restore it but I have recently been advised that I am in kidney failure. My medical bills will be getting very expensive in my future, not to mention the loss of large amounts of time, so I need to start clearing out some of my shop now. I have other bikes that I will be posting in the near future, (some of which I have never gotten to). A few that are close to finished will be going too (but when they are done). This bike is a nice driver as is, and an excellent candidate for restoration. It is way too nice and complete to part it out. I think I put the starting price fairly and there is no reserve. Shipping is of course winning bidders responsibility. I will deliver to your shipper in Tucson for free, or it can be picked up here in 85739 Zip Code (Catalina, AZ). I can possibly deliver elsewhere too, for a pre negotiated price. I will store up to 30 days for free, after that it will cost extra. Non refundable $200 deposit by Paypal in 48 Hrs. Balance by Cashiers check or in cash at pick up (Cashiers check must clear prior to pick up). I do not think I missed anything, but if you need extra info please dont hesitate to email or call. You can check my feedback, I dont claim anything that isnt true. Please do not bid if you cant afford to pay. Doug (520) 850-3778
