Vehicle Detail
I have had this car for about 10 years and spent the last 5 years restoring it. It is not a frame off restoration but has no rust and paint has been stripped to metal, primed several times, sanded and boarded more than I want to remember. 6 coats of paint and 6 coats of clear you can reach your hand into it. All the chrome was removed and polished, bumpers off and the rear one was rechromed, engine was taken out and rebuilt by a Y block experenced shop, transmission was rebuilt by Apolo Transmission in Kansas City that has been rebuilding transmissions for over 30 years. The paint work and body work was done by Ed Horner of Adrian Mo. he has 40 years experence and restores old cars to this day. The dash has a couple of flaws in the paint on the top due to preperation I guess. The interior seats have been rebuilt and recovered with the origional style material. The door panels are the origionals and the glass is origional, no cracks. The back 2 side windows are getting just a little yellow look on the edges the rest are still clear. I have a set of new red seat belts for it but have not put them in.The carpets could be replaced if you wanted to finish the car. The guages all work as do the lights inside and out. The car has factory power steering, factory power brakes, alternator (I have the old generator) and add on air that blows very cold. I have 312 Thunderbird alumimum valve covers on it that are worth $400.00 and the origional black ones. I just put new tires on it also. The car starts and runs great the transmission shifts as it should, the engine and transmission have about 2 hrs on them since rebuilt. I also have the stock hubcaps. The important part is the car has the same engine and transmission it was built with so they will match. Call 816-729-4066 if you want more information. I will put pictures of the car being restored and how it looks today. Thanks for looking. The reason I am selling is I'm going on to a different project.
