This 1993 Mercury Topaz would be a great little economic vehicle for someone in a cooler climate than Phoenix. The air conditioner no longer functions and it really doesn’t make much sense to repair it on an older car that has a low book value. Even without air conditioning the Kelly Blue Book value is around $2000. I’m asking $1300 because the plastic gears in the window and seat belt motors no longer function properly and need to be fixed. I think these gears retail for about $30 a piece and four to six would be needed to repair these problems. The body is in great shape and the engine runs well. I have replaced the water pump, the balancer, the drivers side tie rod, the computer, the radiator, and the electric fan. If you live in a cooler climate the car would likely offer several more years of service.
