This beautiful 1979 Chevrolet Silverado Shorty 4x4 has undergone a complete frame off restoration with attention to every detail. Each and every component has been rebuilt, renewed, or replaced. MECHANICS This beauty fires to life with a flick of the key and the built 454cu inch engine is incredibly tight and strong and this truck is as quick as any muscle car I have owned. The Magnaflow Dual Exhaust System is deep and throaty at just the right tone and dumps straight out the back from chrome tips for an incredible custom look and sound. The entire drive train and suspension is completely restored and this truck is absolutely tight and rattle free. The TH350 automatic transmission performs flawlessly and the power steering and power brakes really make this pick up a pleasure to drive. The four wheel drive has manual lock-out hubs and all components function and perform perfectly. (The windsheild washer hoses are not installed. This was not a priority as the truck does not go out in the rain. Also, the wiring is in place for box speakers behind the seat, so if the new owner wants to install box speakers, the truck is wired for them. These are the only "unfinished" items.) APPEARANCE The interior is flawless and as crisp and clean as any new vehicle, but the thing that really makes this a special vehicle is the body and paint. As gorgeous as these pictures are, they really don't do justice to the real thing up close and personal. Over $17,000 dollars was spent on the body and paint alone and the results speak for themselves. The deep cranberry metallic pearl paint and body are as gorgeous and close to perfect as any you will find and the chrome is immaculate. I am very particular about paint and gap consistency and this truck was really done right. The motor compartment is nicely detailed and includes the stock jack assembly in its proper place. This truck is a 100% garage kept vehicle and it shows in every detail. I have a folder of receipts totalling over $25,000 which will go to the new owner. This 4x4 runs and drives beautifully, WITH LESS THAN 1100 MILES SINCE THE RESTORATION, and is as tight and clean as any new truck and has zero issues.
