Up for sale is a 1984 volkwagon rabbit diesel four door. This is my daily driver I use to get back and forth to work. The car has almost 267,000 miles on it, I just replaced the motor with one that had 116,000 miles on it (was done by a professional mechanic). I replaced the motor because one of the cylinder heads was cracked on mine, and was going to cost nearly as much to fix as it was to replace the entire engine. I also just replaced the water pump, also just replaced the clutch with a brand new one This is a great little car it get around 43-47mpg. It runs strong and doesnt have any unusual knocks or nosies. The good: Very little rust, the front end is not rusted out like so many that you see. New motor/clutch runs great shifts smooth. Comes with orignal rabbit floor mats, also the orignal owners manual The bad: The ignition went out on the guy who I bought it from so he wired in a push button start (not a big deal, you still have to have a key to start it, just wanted to mention that.) Does not have the orignal carpet on the drivers side, was cut out and replaced by auto carpet.
