Vehicle Detail

About Us We are private parties near beautiful Sedona, Arizona who intend to become dealers. We're creating a profession out of our life-long hobby and we intend to sell our vehicles on Ebay for months and years to come. We are just getting started and please don't let our lack of feedback scare you! Our integrity and your feedback are very important to us and we plan to build positive feedback by offering quality cars with honest, complete evaluations. Please only bid if you're serious about purchasing this vehicle! We inspect our vehicles carefully but we are not mechanics and cannot warranty the vehicles. We absolutely recommend that you inspect the vehicle yourself or pay for a vehicle inspection prior to bidding. Once the auction closes, you as the high bidder have entered into a contract to purchase this vehicle. If you have any questions, please call us! 928-301-6562 is Scott's cell phone. About the vehicle: 1971 Chevrolet El Camino Custom V8 2 Door Sedan Pickup - NO RESERVE SALE! This is a great daily driver as-is. We just drove it the 200 mile round trip to Phoenix and back and it ran excellent on the freeway and in the city. I've never had so much fun at red lights! Power steering, power brakes, rear air suspension and dual exhaust. Less than 20K miles on rebuilt 350 V8. Starts right up and purrs! About 1000 miles on rebuilt tranny. Mechanically it's all ready to go with a huge list of new parts and receipts for most of the last $3500 worth of mechanical work. It has new brakes, front shocks, and rear air shocks. Nearly all the chrome is intact and is in Fair-Good condition. Interior is all original. Factory upholstery can easily be repaired. Very little to no rust on body, underneath, or in floor pans with only minor surface rust in bed. Receipts show new in the last 3 months: premium front shocks, cylinder head, front and rear wheel cylinders, front and rear shoe, wheel seals, windshield, most hoses and belts, axle lube, ignition cables, spark plugs, throttle cable, ignition ends, tow bar, trailer plug, engine oil and filter and transmission fluid. The remaining damage is mostly aesthetic and mostly relatively low-cost: Front bumper has 3" dent on passenger end and entire bumper is shifted about 1/2-3/4" towards the drivers side. It is very sturdy and does not vibrate at all, but needs to be reset and possibly replaced for restoration. When that dent in the front bumper occurred, it broke one of the front passenger blinker covers and damaged the plastic grill. Rear bumper is bent and has chrome peeling in about 3" area on passenger side. Bent rear bumper prevents tailgate from opening completely. Dents in tailgate should be easily fixed by bodyman. Front tires are pretty worn with probably 30% tread remaining. I would replace the front tires before any serious driving. The rear tires are larger than the front and probably have 50% tread remaining. Inside, the headliner is missing and needs to be replaced. The sun visors need to be reupholstered or replaced. The dash has a couple cracks under the dash mat. The drivers armrest is slightly cracked. The bench seat has some tears in the original factory upholstery that should be easy to replace- the seat upholstery is otherwise pretty clean and attractive. The carpet has been removed behind the seats exposing the floor panels. The steering wheel is cracked under the steering wheel cover. There are some plastic panels behind the seats near the doors that are cracked. There are no speakers so there is no way to test the tape deck. The A/C dash vent has been removed to expose the broken A/C switch. We have a new switch and the dash vent and they are included in the sale. A cable is apparently disconnected that allows the gear display to display whether the transmission is in park, reverse, neutral, drive, etc. The seat belts do not work. Side view mirror is low quality in our opinion. Most of the body work has already been done with still a few imperfections to fix. You can match the exposed "Malibu Blue" factory paint or choose your own color. All of the chrome buttons and clasps are in place to hold a canvas bed cover in place (cover not included in sale). If you're looking for a solid foundation for an Elky project, look no further. Bid with confidence and if you have any questions, call Scott or Jennifer at 928-301-6562. If you want pictures from another angle or of another detail, please ask and we'll do our best. Thank you for bidding!
