1960 Ford Thunderbird with 75,000 original miles. This car was just removed from over 20 years of heated storage. The 352 engine sounds great, but the 4 bbl carbureator could use a rebuild (I will try to have the carb rebuilt before the auction ends). The transmission shifts good, but the linkage needs adjusted because it only starts with the shifter between neutral and reverse. The exhaust is good. It has cherry bomb mufflers with new chrome tips. The body on this car is very nice. There is no rust, it is straight and shows very little signs of any body filler. The undercarriage also appears to be fairly solid. The factory tinted glass is very nice. The chrome on the car looks great for 51 years old, not perfect but nice. There is one ding in the rear bumper. The grille center bar has two holes drilled in it, not sure why. The two tone black and grey interior is very nice with the exception of the dash pad which is sunk. Everything on the car works except for the gas guage, clock and heater. I would guess that the heater core needs replaced because it has been bypassed. The original AM radio plays great. The car has no major leaks except the power steering pump that leaks when it sits a while. The trunk still retains the original trunk mat and cardboard sides, as well as the jack and tire tool. The tires appear to be good, but they are probably 30 years old. The car goes down the road good with the exception of the carbureator hesitation. and the 30 year old tires don't drive like newer radials. This is a very nice old square bird, but keep in mind that it is over 50 years old, so you are buying as is where is, no guarantees. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Good luck!
