This is very unusual and special car.As you can see in the pictures, the back part of the roof slides into the front part, opening up the back area for what could be a multitude of uses. The back seat folds down making a large cargo aera in the back--big enough for two to sleep under the stars if you slide the roof open.The car has the original 289 V8 engine with a three speed overdrive transmission. The engine does run, but the car has been sitting for around fifteen years.The brakes work, but not well enough to be trusted. I did drive the car home, but it was a very short distance.Before you could put this car on the road, it would need brakes, belts, hoses, water pump,and fuel pump.( I do have a new fuel pump still in the box that goes with it).The interior is original and definitely needs attention. This car is complete and I do believe the mileage is correct. The transmission and clutch work fine. The engine seems to be ok. It has good good oil presure and doesnt over heat. There is a coolant leak, and I cant tell if it is a hose or a freeze plug on the left side of the engine. There is rust in the lower extremities , but the floor pans seem to be solid.All of the glass looks great, with the exception of some wiper marks on the windshield.It would great to pull a small vintage Airstream.
