Vehicle Detail

I Love pulling up to the local pub on a Saturday afternoon and watching the guys pile out to check this truck out. This is not the truck for the Ford purist as it has been re-powered with a Chevy 350 matched to a freshly rebuilt 350 turbo automatic. The truck runs excellent. Took it on a trip to Philly last weekend (250 mile round trip) and it ran like a champ. The 4X4 works excellent and has locking hubs installed. The truck was in storage for approx 5 years and when I pulled it out had the tranny redone, brakes and brake lines, all top end gaskets changed, and of course tuned up. Also installed a new alternator and shocks - (air shocks in rear) Have documentation on all recent service. Often considered putting Ford power back in it but that 350 just runs too nice ! Tranny hooked to a B&M shifter that was professionally installed. As you can see from the pics the truck is in really nice shape. Tires are excellent & a spare rim is included. The box is completely rust free but does show those small spot weld indentations around the wheel well- tried to show them in the pics. Considered re-doing the box but right now its nice enough to show but you're still not afraid to take to the lumber yard & load it up. Everthing works on the truck with the exception of the speedometer. Truck sounds great with dual exhaust, and also sports a train air horn under the hood that will knock you on your ass. Truck does not have power steering so at low speeds it is harder to steer - All of thhe cab glass is nice with the exception of some wiper "rubs" on the windshield, all door and glass seals are brand new so its water tight and quiet with no rattles or squeaks. The come is nice, handles and mirrors and trim are all new, bumper is presentable with a mark near the bolt hole (pictured) The chrome spotlight works, and It has an AM/FM/Cassette installed. I also installed a 1959 grille on the truck - just liked the look - Still have the 1960 but its not as nice - any spare parts I have will go with the truck. Any questions please ask, I encourage anyone close to come check it out - Its inspected & tagged so test runs are fine. If the wife says "no" then get a new wife - If she says yes she's a keeper! On Apr-05-11 at 06:20:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Have been getting alot of questions - will try to put them to bed - CHROME condition - Overall nice -- The bumper is decent for a driver, as pictured there are some spots on it - The headlight bezels also show some pitting All other trim (door handles, mirrors, stainless trim, grille, ) are all very nice if not new. PAINT- I painted the front end section of the truck (Cab, doors, hood ) and its very nice with no flaws. The box as stated above does have sheet metal spotweld points around where the inner rear fender on the truck is welded to the side panel. Very easy fix but would require the side to be repainted. From 10 feet its hardly noticible. The box is super clean and solid - No Rust. UNDER THE HOOD Presentable but would need paint work on the block to make it a show truck. Has Chrome valve covers and some other chrome brackets under it do have pitting on them. The fire wall and inner fenders are clean and nice. UNDERSIDE Clean but not detailed. minor SURFACE rust here and ther that a liitle sanding and a can of rustoleum wouldn't take care of - I do have pictures of the underside but can't figure out how to post them as I have maxed out my allowable 24 on this ad ( if you know a way let me know !!) If you e-mail me I'll be gald to foward them to you . Frame is straight, clean and the paint is actually nice. SEATS Obviously not stock but nice and they did a nice job installing them. One cut on the side of the drivers side (you can see it in the picture) FORGOT TO MENTION : HAVE A NEWLY REBUILT GAUGE PACKAGE and original dash harness for the truck (cost me $500) that goes with the truck. as stated current speedometer not working but this package is basically brand new and VERY nice. Will also be glad to throw in any other parts I have laying around. (1960 grille, extra rims , etc)
