Vehicle Detail
I have here for sale a 1990 Geo Metro LSI 4dr Hatchback. It has the 3cylinder engine with automatic transmission. The car starts, runs, drives, & stops as it should. I bought this car in April of 2010 because when I delivered pizzas in the early 90's for some reason I could not afford to buy a $6000 car, & now that I have a little more money, I thought I would buy one & fix it like showroom new. Unfortuneatley after I started fixing it up, I had some health issues & received some bad news from the Dr. as I was diagnosed with an incurable muscle disease that will ultimately lead to my departure from this Earth sooner than expected & I lost my job. So, I need to sell it as I don't have the time or money to spare because I need to spend my money on trying to pay off some other bills, so I don't leave a heavier burden on my wife & my 4 children when I depart than I need to. When I fix things, I do it the right way & not 1/2 way or Mickey Mouse it. I bought the car with around 130K miles on it from a dealer who bought it from one of his friends whose son owned it for around 10 years who was going off to college, so he sold it & I have driven it almost 5000 miles in the last year. The dealer put in a new windshield before he sold it to me. I did not know how it was serviced & maintained. I started with the timing belt & since the water pump runs off that I replaced it also, & the rest of the cooling system followed: Radiator, cooling fan, upper & lower radiator hoses, & thermostat. I replaced the alternator & drive belts. The car does have factory air but it does not work & I haven't had the time to find out why. I replaced the brakes all the way around with new rotors, bearings, & seals on the front & brake cylinders & all the hardware on the rear. I replaced the right side axle shaft. I installed 4 new tires all the way around, & it has the jack & spare in the trunk from the factory. I replace the front struts, & the rear shocks on the lift gate. put a new air filter & serviced the engine, & done a complete replacement of the transmission fluid thru one of those transmission machines that forces out all the old fluid & replaces it with the new fluid through the whole transmission including the torque converter & the filter. I installed 2 new exterior mirrors. I replaced a missing turn signal light on the right front side. I have most of the receipts for all work done & parts bought. The car has a couple of oil leaks that I have not fixed. The front passenger window doesn't roll down correctly, so you have to be careful. What I did not get done yet was a tune-up i.e., sparkplugs, wires, cap, & rotor. I was going to replace the exhaust system although I don't believe it needed it as I was making the car showroom new. I was going to replace the front suspension although the car drives straight down the road, I just wanted everything new. The hood probably needs replaced as it would be cheaper to do that than repair the dents. The car does need a complete paint job, but that does not affect the way it drives. The winning bidder can look at it like making a donation to a person in need & receiving the car as a gift instead of just purchasing a car. You are buying the car as is where is with no warranty stated or implied. The winng bidder is responsible for the pick up & removal of the vehicle. A $500 deposit is required within 72 hours of auction close if not already paid in full. I will accept paypal or cash. Will work with the winning bidder on time needed to pick up the vehicle. I would like it picked up within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements have been made. I will not ship overseas or outside the continental United States. If shipped, winning bidder is responsible for all logistics associated with the shipping & the shipping company. Thank you good luck & good bidding.
