Vehicle Detail

1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III- Farm & Ranch Special I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: This beautiful collector’s item was part of a collection of a local collector. The owner recently moved to a nursing home and we ended up with a several cars from his private museum. It has a 460 cid V8 engine with 365Horsepower with an automatic transmission, and has all the amenities that come standard with a luxury Lincoln. Based on what we have been told, the Lincoln was professionally built and they used to call them Farm & Ranch Special. The work that has been done is absolutely exquisite. (Any information regarding the company that builds these cars in the 70’s will be appreciated) Our friend purchased the car from another collector in 1992 and he never drove it on the road as it was a part of his own private collection. In 2005 he sent out the car for the Following cosmetic work: A complete professional new paint job A complete new leather seat A complete new carpet and headliner A complete new vinyl top A complete new re-chroming of all the chrome There are so many details of the cosmetic work that was done; we are only listing the big ticket items. We added up all the receipts, and it was well over $22,000. The receipts go with the car. Even after the restoration, he never drove the car and it was inside of his private show room. we got the car and we sent it out for an oil change, battery change, and new gas. The old girl came to life and it runs and drives beautifully. All the lights, signals, even the front head light covers work. The power windows, power seats, and a couple of instruments are not working properly at this time due to sitting for a long time. Even though it runs well and they spent a lot of money on cosmetics, they never drove it for long distances as it was part of their collector’s museum. So if you are coming from a long distance away, you will want to trailer it. The truck will be sold with a Texas title. This is definitely a special interest and unique item. It might not be for everyone as It is a wonderful opportunity for a museum, private collector, or business owner that wants a piece of Americana for his business advertisement. “All the inspections must be done before the auction closes.” Please, please, please be sure that you have the money to purchase the car if you are bidding. Remember that this antique car is 40 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person, and if you are not sure, please don’t bid. I’m into antiquities and I don’t know that much about automobiles in detail. Please come and check it as I am expressing how I see the vehicle. Your bid is your contract. Please place bids only if you are serious about buying the item. If you are the winning bid, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase the item. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. All of this being said please take a look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Or come by and check it out in person before you bid. The car will be sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee. All the inspections should be made prior to purchasing the car. For pricing regarding classical automobiles you can refer to www.nadaguides.com We reserve the right to cancel any bid for excessive negative feedback. And I may also advertise it locally. Good luck and have fun.
