You are bidding on 1 2006 Audi A4 Avant Quattro Wagon with 2.0T 4-cylinder turbo engine with manual transmission in nice, clean aesthetic condition and excellent mechanical condition. There were not too many avants brought over to the US. You really had to order one to find one on a dealer's lot, and if they had them, they maxed out the cars with many options and higher costs. For this reason, the car was special ordered from Audi, Germany and delivered to Colorado in September 2005. I am the original owner, 41 years old non-smoking, with clear title in hand ready for a smooth and quick sale or delivery to the new happy buyer. I hate to see it go but have bought a Toyota Sequoia for larger family needs and no longer have the extra garage space. I'm not forced to sell the car and have a second home that I could use it at, but it probably makes more sense to see it go. The car is painted in Dolphin Gray which was a sought after color requiring an extra $750 as an option. All of the brochures on the car featured this color, but few dealers ordered this for their stock. The color is great for the lines showing a very sleek bahn-stormer which doesn't show dirt very much and is easier to keep clean than many other of the available colors. The interior is gray cloth and is in excellent shape without much wear that leather typically shows. I like that it is easy to keep clean and is not cold in the winter or hot in the summer that can also be a problem for a leather interior. The car was ordered with the sports suspension which is firm but not annoying and allows you to get the most out of the german build quality. It provides great feel and I have always enjoyed the decision on going with that option. No other special options. I added a Sirius satellite stereo system unit from audi in the trunk which is paid up for EVERY available channel. Adding that was a fantastic option after the purchase. The stereo sounds great in the car with a 6 disk CD changer in the dash. Windows were tinted the same around the driver windows, passenger windows and rear avant area. This may be darker than allowed in some states but definitely keeps the interior cool and the driver away from prying eyes. I was never stopped for its darkness and liked the clean look and benefits. I also added the premium 17" wheels from the dealership after it was delivered. These added around $1500 to the price but suit the car and look great. There are two Nurburgring shields below the side indicator lights and a vinyl decal on the rear hatch. The rest of the car is stock. The car does not have a sunroof or bluetooth which was just coming online at the time. The steering wheel is the 3-spoke sport version and has buttons for the bluetooth and phone but currently have no function when pressed. There are also volume and selection buttons that do work on the steering wheel. Most of the steering wheels were the 4-spoke type that I thought looked a bit "old". The car has a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has been used as a highway mile cruiser it's entire life. I commuted from South Denver to Boulder Colorado for 5 years in this car - 500 miles per week. It is 5.5 years old and has 137, 232 miles averaging just under 25,000 miles each year. The car has been very well taken care of with regular servicing and updates at the dealership where it was purchased. Synthetic oil changes were carried out religiously. The car has been as reliable as a Honda but with the tightness of an excellent German sporting car. There is a reason that Audi's quality ratings are so high now. It started with the introduction of the B7 A4 and was carried through all of their lines starting during this era. The car has been a joy to live with. There were several recalls on the car and these were all completed at the dealership. The recalls were nothing serious but good to know that the car is up to date on these requirements. I'm sure you will be looking at other cars on the market. This car is in excellent mechanical condition. Yes, it has higher miles but this also has it's plusses. The timing belt has already been replaced last year as well as the water pump. That was quite a bit over a thousand dollars so please keep that in mind if you are looking at a lower mileage car that will require this service over the horizon. Brakes were also replaced again in 2010. New tires were installed 5k miles ago and rotated yesterday. All of the functions are operating properly. Air conditioning is cold. The heat is hot. All lights work. Two main folding electronic keys included. One has never been used. I do not know how long the key batteries last. One additional Valet key included with owner's manuals and booklets. Window sticker included. First aid kit in the rear arm rest has not been used and is included. Spare tire in matching 17" full size rim. All jacks and originally included tools to come with car. One additional set of snow tires included - used for two seasons and have more life left in them. Car has always passed emissions. New battery was replaced in 2010. There is a VERY short list of items that are not perfect. The windshield has a small crack around 4 inches in the lower corner of the passenger side. It's not really visible from the driver's area. There are a couple of small rock points in other spots of the windshield. The front bumper and front hood have some rock marks dusting from dirt or snow. Two small nickel sized dents in the metal, one at the gas cap, one on the back liftgate. You might be able to do the dentless repair to fix these, I just don't know and they weren't a big issue. Small scratch on the front right side near the turn signal from snow driving. Engine belly pan has been removed from wear driving in the snow and ice. Driver floor mat has a hole near the heel area. Driver's window will not auto down, but will auto up. Rims have some slight rash here and there but nothing ridiculous. Centers have some paint wearing here and there. Can't think of anything else. It is a very nice car. Not new, not worn. Clean and enjoyable. Car is out of warranty and is sold as-is. I am happy to take the car to a mechanic of your choosing if you would like to pay for a Pre-purchase inspection. That would be at the buyer's expense. Clean Carfax and guarantee. The reason to buy this car was for the 4 wheel drive which is excellent, the motor with great response from the turbo with good gas mileage, and the nice german tightness. The rest of the options were just extra and not really necessary. This year retains a great modern look for a very low price compared to other newer versions. No one will ever guess what you paid. You'll just look good and enjoy an active outdoor life with lots of room for gear and driving pleasure.
