Vehicle Detail
1972 Ford Mustang Olympic Sprint – Muscle car Mach 1 Grill and body style-351-V4 – Check Registry This special red, white and blue Sprint was introduced to commemorate the 1972 Winter Olympics. Special USA shield decals were applied to the rear quarter panels. Wimbledon White paint, special stripping, blue on hood, white vinyl interior with blue cloth and red piping, and a MACH 1 grill compliment the sleek styling. The equipment that came with this model consists of the above color package and a color-keyed front bumper, trim rings and color-keyed caps, distinctive vinyl bucket seats and bright blue carpet. There were less than 150 of the Sports Roof Fastback with the “351-4v” engine, AC, Automatic Transmission and the Sprint Package B (F60x15 Wide Oval Raised White Letter Tires, Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels and competition suspension). There are only a handful of these left and non in “like new condition” like this one. (All original, never been restored or painted) This Patriotic Mustang still retains the original interior, paint, trunk, engine compartment, inspection markings, stickers, belts, lamps, etc. There isn’t any rust and never has been! This remarkable car came with the following options: Air Conditioning, power steering, power brakes, console with clock, tachometer, limited slip differential, competition suspension, AM/FM Stereo, dual racing mirrors, gauge package and the “Sprint package B option”. Everything is original and still works perfectly. This beautiful “One of a kind” Mustang has always been garaged and has been in a collectors corral for its entire life. It was bought brand new in Scottsdale, Arizona by a collector and then sold to another collector and then I purchased it after that. It is registered on the Mustang Olympic Sprint Owner Registry. If you wish to read more about the history and facts on this “only a few left” model go to: WWW.1972mustangsprint.com and see all the info there. For this model go to the Listed on Registry and go to 1972 Mustang Sprint owner registry and click on the Sprint Sportroof. There are only a few and some of them have the 302 engine instead of the 351-4v with automatic. Some of them are in the process of being restored and some have already been worked on, but as far as I can tell, none are all original and like new. The VIN # is 2F02Q176661. That number tells you the car is Wimbledon White, has the Sprint Décor package, has the C-6 automatic, has a 3.25.1 locking differential and was sold in Scottsdale, AZ in March 1972 by Charlie Rossie Motors. It has 71,896 original miles.
