Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7. This is a really cool cat in need of some work. Turns on at the turn of the key, runs strong but smokes when warmed up. Not sure if the engine needs a complete overhaul or if it's a more simple fix. It has power disc brakes. Electronic ignition, Edelbrock intake manifold and Carb.  The sequential lights work perfectly. Needs one of the power steering hoses replaced, it bursted about 5 months ago. AC system is complete and works but needs to be recharged. I disconnected the belt from the compressor two years ago, it was only blowing cool air instead of cold. (the belt is in the trunk). Lots of money has been put into this car in the last few years. It now sports 15" Wheel Vintiques "Cruzer" one piece aluminum cast wheels. Alone for the wheels, without tires, I paid over $700. The exhaust is Mac tru-fit 2 1/2" headers with H-pipe and Flowmaster delta-flow mufflers which means that the car can be dropped a few inches without any clearance issues. The interior was custom done at a Hollywood shop about 4 years ago. Both the front and back chrome bumpers were professionally triple chrome plated 3 years ago. It has a tape player hooked up to a trunk CD Changer. The only rust found was strictly surface rust in the trunk. I sanded a little bit off to show that the sheet metal underneath is not affected. There's some body filler by the back passenger wheel opening and roof on the same side. I also noticed some body filler at the bottom front edge of both doors. I have the pink slip/title at hand ready to be turned over to the new owner. If you have any questions please ask before bidding.  More pictures available at: http://s447.photobucket.com/albums/qq197/ink28la/1967%20Cougar%20XR-7/ **I just added over 40 pictures of the undercarriage and door tag to the Photobucket album above** TERMS OF SALE:  Serious bidders only please.
