Vehicle Detail

1969 Volkswagen Camper Another Vintage Volkswagen brought to you by TheResurrectionProject.net In 1968 Volkswagen changed the overall look of the infamous Volkswagen bus for the first time since its inception in 1950. The new model which is loving nicknamed the “Bay Window” or “Early Low-Light Bay Window Type 2”. This second generation of the Bus was introduced in 1968, and included a long list of mechanical and ergonomic improvements over the older Split Bus. The early years of the "bay window" bus used a Beetle drive train (1600cc upright motor, also referred to as Type 1). The advantage of this motor is that parts are cheap and easily available. The Resurrection Project is pleased to bring this 1969 Volkswagen Bus with the famous Westphalia camper interior. The bus has been in California for many years and we have a stack of service records and receipts from a local Sacramento, CA repair facility that shows the Westy has been in Nor Cal for a good period of time. This is a great sign for those of you who want a nice original "California Bus". The Westfalia interior in this bus is designed as a "Day Camper" set up. This is great for a relaxing drive to the beach, or a weekend camping trip with the family. The fact the bus does sport the Westfalia day camper interior in the rear makes this bus not only fun, but functional. It gives you an exciting mode of transportation during the day and a great little camper on the weekends. The nice thing is that there is plenty of room left in this bus for you to add your own flavor and make it personal to you and your family. Historically the outside of the bus has been resprayed in the brilliant red that you see in the pictures, while the inside remains in its original Volkswagen paint. The previous owner took it upon himself to do some body work to the driver side quarter panel as you can see in the pictures. If you look around the outside of the bus you will see that it is still presentable for daily use in any urban environment and will blend right into any country side setting on the weekend get away with the family. The bus does have some typical cancer that you may want to attend to during the ownership, or you may choose to simply enjoy it as is since they do not deter from the operations of the vehicle. The overall flavor of the bus is very tasty and will surely draw attention every time you stop at your local petrol station. The power plant in the bus runs good with no mechanical concern, it has recently been tuned up, the carb adjusted, valves set, oil changed, a new battery and a replacement muffler have all been installed to give you the ability to drive your new bus as soon as it arrives. This bus is registered, running driving vehicle that is perfect for someone who wants a bus they can drive and enjoy while they fix it up to their specifications and needs. This early low light bay window will provide its new owners many years of happy motoring during the week and camping on the weekends….so pull out your favorite map, pick your destination and get on the road in this classic 1969 Volkswagen Camper. For those of you that cannot inspect in person we have included a short video to show the bus in it's running and driving condition http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2JtHltr5hI We are happy to work with international buyers! We are always happy to supply you with any additional photos that you would like upon request. Please Note Due to the current EBay policy that does not allow sellers to leave negative feedback, we as sellers have no warning signs about potential nonpaying bidders. Ebay requires zero accountability or consequences to those who bid, yet do not follow thru with their contractual obligation to pay. This policy is causing unusual amounts of ‘’Unpaid” Items. Sellers have been suffering in the way of lost wages, Ebay listing fees, and most importantly… the loss of legal and binding transactions. *Affective Immediately for all Auctions* Within the last 24 hours of the auction end date or prior to that time frame, the top three bidders or any party who is planning on submitting a bid must make a verbal commitment to their dedication to pay within the terms specified.
