Up for auction is a good looking truck a 1996 Tahoe LS 2 Door Green Exterior with Tan Interior Low miles 140K comes with power options V8 350 Vortec Engine and is a hard to find 2 Wheel Drive model (Ebay has drivetrain listed as 4wd but it is a 2wd) These are very hard to find if you have been looking for a 2 Door Tahoe for a long time like I did/was you know how hard it is to find one of these classics!!! The best part of this SUV is that it's from Florida the underneath of the chassis is rust free and very clean! This SUV needs interior cosmetic work and the paint has some scratches on it, and needs the distributor adjusted and or timing reset, the code coming up is p1345 is coming up you can youtube this code and watch the video takes 2-3 minutes to adjust to correct timing or reset the timing. I KNOW THIS IS A LOT TO READ BUT WANT TO BE COMPLETLY HONEST SO THERE ARE NO SURPRISES TO THE LUCKY BUYER HIGH BIDDER WHO WINS GETS THIS TAHOE! I bought this 2 door for that intention of making it into a nice street cruiser but life happens and have a new child on the way and you know what women the wife says! So... the ride has to go! :( My loss is your gain now! When I bought the Tahoe the drivetrain is/was very strong like a Vortec 350 should run smooth and powerful but had a little hiccup so I bought a new distributor took it to a mechanic who installed it and actually made it worse! I told him the distibutor is installed incorrectly causing to idle incorrectly that you need a labscope to set properly and he didn't do it right! The problem is that I am in Virgina and the SUV is at my Moms in Florida 32137. I have fixed a lot of items to make the trip from FL to VA, installed a LOT of NEW parts, and prior to the distributor issue the last part installed would have driven up here but decided to sell as I don't have the time to dedicate to this and my Mom is being a Mom and says get this out of the driveway! (I'm getting it from both sides Mom and wife now so here is your chance to get a great deal on a very hard to find 2 Door Tahoe!!! haha) Here is the NEW Parts/Repairs: Replaced all 4 02 Sensors with 4 Bosch premium O2 Sensors (that was $200 right there!) Radiator, Water Pump, Thermostat and seal, Coolant flush/changed, Upper and Lower Coolant Hoses, Goodyear Gatorback Serpentine Belt, Distributor Cap & Rotor,AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, New Fuel Filter cleaned throttle body chevron techron fuel injection cleaners, Spark Plug Wires newer, Rear End Service fluid/gasket done, Transmission Service Filter fluid changed, Mobil 1 Oil and Filter change, New Front Shocks, New Goodyear Wrangler Tire, 2 BF Goodrich Long trail T/A Tires on rear like new, New Firestone tire front, (the tires were dry rotted before and worn out) Front brakes are recently done rotors/pads. Also comes with new right door handle and new right mirror parts included. Plus I am probably forgetting more I have repaired done to it everything I saw mechanicly wrong I tried to fix prior to the trip up to Va! The cosmetic exterior interior stuff was going to do later. So if you add up back out all the new parts cost $$$ spent on recently installed new parts from the auctions LOW starting price the opening of the actual opening price is closer to $1200-1300 a No Brainer Really on the starting price!!! Now the bad: (the good thing is that most parts can be found on Ebay very cheaply or at a local U pull yard) Mechanicly: Distibutor is new but is either incorrectly installed or needs timing reset brought back to original specs not hard to do if you have the knowledge you can watch the clips on youtube! Heater Core has been bypassed, needs a heater core and black plastic cover. Oil Pan has a butterfly valve repair at drain plug it works functions but is cheap to get a oil pan. Interior: (put in a set of recaros and new carpeting!) is in fair shape needs new carpeting, has hole on drivers floor carpet from use, and the rear trunk carpet was bad and was ripped thrown out, A/C dash vents broken you can find a new instrument cluster surround $20 on here, needs cupholder, ash tray and flip up cigarette lighter plug covers, rear spare tire cover and wingnut that holds attachs tire to spare assembly, steering wheel needs to be resewn leather or replaced or a cover put over it, hatch button release switch on button missing does work just needs the cover to button and needs a hood release handle does work but missing the handle lever to it all easy cheap to find on ebay or a u pull yard. Exterior: I think the paint color is very nice green and tan! It does have the scratches and wear and tear as to be expected from a 1996, driver tail light needs the two bolts/nuts to attach to body (i guess previous owner changed bulb and didn't do? easy cheap fix) Passenger Mirror needs to be replaced does come with the part. Passenger door can not open from the outside will open with the door key does come with a new door handle. I have not pulled off the door panel could be something as simple as plastic tab broken or off the door pull assembly? Please, serious buyers only now a $250 deposit to be recieved within 24 hours, and cash on pick up no check of any type will be accepted, and the SUV is to be paid for and picked up within 2 days of the auction close.
