1985 Pontiac Trans Am; Original 305 V-8 Carbureted engine with 71,300 original miles. I'm the second owner of the car, I bought it in October of 2009 to work on with my son. The car was used on the weekends and local errands, it has always been garage kept. The original owner, which is a friend, bought it off the showroom floor, the dealer sticker is still on the front windshield. He was unhappy with the performance so he added a Edelbrock intake manifold, timing gears and a very mild cam....... these wear all proffesionally installed. When I purchased the car I removed all of the emmisions (still have everything) and added headers, aluminum valve covers and a K&N air cleaner, we also added a new distributer cap and wires to dress the engine up a bit. The car has been in local car shows and looks great when it's detailed and polished. The paint is in very good condition but does have a few minor flaws, nothing that forces you to have it repainted. The original seats have been replaced with seats from a 1999 Firebird, I have all of the original seats and they are all in excellent condition except for the passenger seat, it needs to be recovered..........somehow it got torn up, but can be redone for about $200 dollars. The interior is in excellent condition with no signs of wear, the headliner has been replaced, the stereo is an Alpine remote c/d with an amp & 2-12" subs, sounds really nice. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition, it needs nothing, brakes and tires are like new, undercarriage is almost rust free, the car was zeibarted from the dealer and has never been in an accident, clean CARFAX!!!!! The car is equipped with factory air conditioning, it has minor leak that I haven't tracked down yet. The T-Tops do not leak and it has the original factory storage bags in the rear hatch. The car is almost rust free for it's age, this is not your usual rusted out piece of junk,. you can tell by the pictures, you won't be disappointed if you stop by for a look. The rear spoiler was been replaced, if you know anything about this era you know finding one with the original spoiler is almost impossible. Tires and brakes are in almost new condition, original factors mags are in excellent condition as well, I can't say enough about this car it has been a great experience for my son and I, he is working full time now and going to College at night, we didn't want to run the miles up on the car so I helped him purchase a new one, long story short we have too many cars and not enough room, time to sell the weekend cruiser.
