Up for sale is my personally owned 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Convertable with the 8 cylinder HT-4100 engine. This car is an excellent driving vehicle, and I have driven her monthly, but represents a work in progress cosmetically. Mechanically, the engine and transmission are very smooth and run excellent. The brakes are excellent, and the cooling system, supension, and exhaust system have all been overhauled in the last 5k miles. The battery is brand new, and the tires have 80% tread left and have the Cadillac custom wire wheels installed. I feel confident that this vehicle can travel anywhere in the USA and get there safely. The HVAC system works on heat and actually the AC works, as I used it last season. The blower motor however makes a little noise only, when on high. All the power seat controls work as they should and all the windows operate, however the passenger door needs a new opening latch mechanism as the door cannot be opened from the inside or out. Even though the car is mechanically a magnificent runner she is equally challenged cosmetically. The car in my opinion will need a good paint job to restore her completely. The hood needs to be reshot as the paint is peeling. All the bumper fillers will need to be refilled and painted. The convertable top has three small tears as the pictures depict. The convertable top goes down electronically, but cannot go up without manual help. All the glass is in perfect condition. I also have a parade boot as depicted in the pictures and a complete car cover which I will include in the auction. The rear interior is in excellent condition but the front interior driver side needs to be replaced, or reuphoulstered. The passenger seat I believe can be still used. The only reason I am selling her is that I have too many projects now, and I lost one of my storage facilities, and cannot afford to garage her and maintain her the way she should be. By the way this car was a theft recovery Salvage Title in 2002 and I have a clear branded Salvage NY Title in hand and can transfer the title to anyone in any state. The Vin Number is NY52485, as depicted in the pictures and The car is currently registered in NY, insured and inspected. From what I understand the car required a new radio, new top and some interior work when she was rebuilt. This car runs great, and if someone is willing to put time love and joy into the marvelous vehicle, it will be worth over 10,000. By the way the Continental grill is also a nice option to the car.
