Vehicle Detail

This car was literally owned by the proverbial "grandma". It has about 72,800 miles on it. The Odometer has not turned over. Originally owned by an elderly lady in Tennessee - we have the county tax receipts. This car is road ready right now. All lights work except one parking light. The automatic transmission works good - it has 3 speeds. The V8 289 engine 2 barrel has good compression & runs quite well. The engine uses very little (if any) oil. Recent firestone tires (Dec2008, 5,000 miles ago) & the brakes were overhauled 10,000 miles ago, included 4 wheel cylinders, flexible hoses & shoes. Shocks & rear springs were replaced about the same time. The car needs paint - surface rust is present. An area over the left rear wheel needs to be worked for rust. The right rear panel has been dinged & needs minor body work. The rocker panel under the passenger doors has been pressed in & needs to be pulled out. All in all the body is in excellent condition, Note that underneath, everything is solid - this is not a "Fred Flintstone special" where the floor boards (or anything else) are weak. The transmission was recently overhauled and works well. This is a C4 Transmission - 3 speeds "big dot/ little dot".The power steering pump has a small leak, however the pump works properly.A/C works good. This is an underdash unit with Ford emblems. The exhaust system is good. New battery. Car starts & runs good. It drives out well, tracks straight and rides nice. Ball joints and such are in good shape. The horn, wipers, radio , cigarette lighter all work. One rear door does not open - I have not been able to pull the lock up into the unlocked position. All glass is good. Windshield was replaced 3 years ago.Overall, the Interior is in good condition. One seam at driver's seat needs to be restitched. A small rip exists on bottom side at rear door. Cover's for sun visor's are off and need work but the visors are solid and functional. Headliner is intact. No sagging or bunching observed. Driver's side armrest has some de-lamination. The carper is all there but has some stains & wear areas. The outside part of the driver's seat is crushed a little and the passenger side seat catch is not functional.Spare tire with bumper jack included.A piece of trim that fits on the right rear quarter panel (that piece is missing in the photos) is included. All photos are current. I never bought anything significant like a car or camper on Ebay because of concern about (mis) representation, accordingly I have tried to describe all the bad - and I will back that claim up by refunding your deposit if this car is misrepresented. This car can be driven anywhere in the USA for delivery. Trailering it for long hauls (>500) miles may be wise as it has not been more than 50 miles from here in a long time & remember this is an antique. If you want photos of anything in particular please ask. Feedback will be appreciated. I have never sold anything on Ebay so I am trying to learn. This car is advertised elsewhere.
