Up for auction is a very nice 1996 Land Rover Range Rover HSE all wheel drive SUV. This vehicle appears to have been well maintained. Runs and drives very nice. This vehicle is equipped with leather seats, CD changer (CD cartridge is missing), BRAND NEW Falken all-season radial tires, factory 17" aluminum rims, power windows, power mirrors, ABS brakes, driver and passenger airbags. Engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The transmission shifts through all gears as it should including reverse, without hesitation. The all wheel drive system (AWD) works wonderfully as it should. The suspension is tight and drives smooth on the road as you would expect from a Range Rover. Does have a few minor issues as I will describe below. The problematic auto-leveling air suspension has already been replaced with coil springs as recommended by the dealer. There are no maintenance lights on on the dash except for the auto-leveling light which isn't an issue since auto-leveling has been replaced with coil springs as I mentioned. Also, when it is first started the ABS light comes on, but immediately goes off when you start to drive and stays off for the remainder until the starting cycle has begun again. AM-FM radio is missing, as shown in pictures. This vehicle comes equipped with every option possible. Its as loaded as they come. It doesn't appear to have any rust or known body work. The paint however is a little dull and could probably use a good buffing but I think it would clean up nicely. I have not polished it as I don't like to doctor things up, I like them to be seen as they are without sugar coating it. I believe this is a good reliable vehicle, and I drove it almost 300 miles from where I picked it up without even so much as a hiccup other than what I mentioned already. Driver and passenger window seem to need some adjustment, as they sometimes don't go all the way up or all the way down. Driver and passenger power mirrors don't seem to be working. Heated seats, climate control, air condition defrost all seem to be working as they should. All safety equipment such as windshield wipers (front and rear), windshield washers, headlights, taillights, high and low beams, marker lights, blinkers, hazards, driver/fog lights all seem to be working properly. Brakes work as they should. This vehicle is equipped with a class 3 receiver hitch with electrical outlet for trailer hitch. Doesn't appear to have been used much, but it is there. Leather seats show normal wear and tear that you would expect with a vehicle of this year and mileage. Headliner is starting to come down in places, and headliner on sunroof has some wrinkles in it. Window pillar trim shows some wear from age. Overall this is a very nice SUV and still very respectable looking. I have included MANY pictures below inside and out that will better describe this vehicles condition, so please look at them carefully and keep in mind that this is a used vehicle and is nearly 16 years old so please don't expect a brand new car here. Although it is in need of some minor TLC with regard to some of the interior trim, I believe this car to be mechanically sound and would not hesitate to make a long trip in this car, or if I were the buyer to fly in and drive it home.
