1997 Mercury Mountaineer Call/text anytime if you are serious: 215-840-3097 The truck has been in my family since 1997. I just drove this car home from Connecticut on 3/12/2011. Cruise control 75 mph no troubles whatsoever. Very enjoyable to drive! The nicer version of the Ford Explorer. Leather seats, and a clean interior. Keyless entry and alarm. Also has a combination lock so you can leave your keys in the car. Oil changed 30 miles ago. Power windows/sunroof, locks, seats. Digital compass and thermometer. Rear seat climate controls and radio controls. Factory Disc changer. New rear tires. 142,000 miles. Engine sounds great and the trans shifts great. Truck looks nice in and out. Minor dings and dents here and there. Paint would look amazing with a nice buff/wax. The only interior flaw I noticed was the center armrest console has a tear in the leather/vinyl. Minor issues Front tires are pretty worn. ABS light is on, and there is some wheel noise from front left wheel. I'm assuming the ABS light and the noise in the tire are the same problem. I'm guessing something simple like a brake pad or axel boot. DS lock and rear hatch lock act funny on occasion. They seem like they are getting caught up when trying to lock. I can get them to go down manually.The car also has an alarm so if any door is ever opened it goes off. Antenna for the radio does not retract. And the AC may need a charge. I am listing the issues as a worst case scenario. I don't want anyone to be surprised. KBB puts this SUV between $2500-6000. My asking price is less than a third of the value of the excellent priced condition. Cash in hands swings a heavy stick!
