Vehicle Detail

This mustang is a GT clone and is a project car, sold as is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for checking out car before hand or asking for more information or pictures. Originally it was a 302ci 210 horsepower 4 barrell carbed engine with a C4 auto transmission and no options. I have owned this car 26 years. It has spent the last 24 years mostly in a garage and not running. This car was restored 25 years ago with many GT parts added. It was vandalized with ignition, intake and carb stolen and razor damage done to interior. It was parked in garage for 23 out of 24 years with partial disassembly and re-restoration started but not finished. Car has a 9" limited slip rear with 350 gears and 28" spline axels and performance axle studs. Rear end has approximately 4000 miles on it from rebuild. It has a C6 transmission with 3400 TCI stall speed converter. Transmission has a fabricated mount.Drive shaft modified to suit. I have original transmission mount and flywheel, but not 302 heads or C4 transmission. Short block is the original 302 bored 30 over with 10 to one pistons, crank was turned and balanced. SPS rod bolts and Crower cam. work was performed by machine shop. Engine has approximately 2000 miles on it. There is some surface rust on cylinders, but I can turn over short block by hand just turning flywheel with my hands. May be okay, but I would hone and reassemble. Heads are 1966 289 heads that have been reworked with screw in studs, guide plates and chrome molly pushrods. They have also been ported slightly and have three angle valve job with guides. Springs and lifters match cam. The heads are currently off the motor but I will bolt on for shipping. Car does not have original exhaust manifolds. I have some old headers that were on it but they are not in good shape. This motor and transmission ran very well before I had to garage it. 5 lug drum brakes all around. GT manual steering box and sway bar. A total of 7 original GT wheels with caps and trim rings. Two of the wheels were cut and widened 10 " to accept 12" tires. They work fine with air shocks. No wheel well modifications or damages are present. Wheel chrome is in good to very good shape with some nicks. some trim rings are a little scratched. Hub Caps are good. Tires are old and leak air. The two big tires were off the car and just need valve stems. Interior has a new headliner. I have new sewn original type seat covers for front seats. Passenger seat is dissassembled. I have new carpet for fold down rear seat. Rear folding seat is missing latches. This item was added. Car has overhead and center console. Center console needs new section that fits around radio. Emergency brake handle and radio and radio bezel and antenna and dash are missing. All other interior and dash parts are present. I have a used holly 4 barrelled carb for it and some other misc small new parts like instrument bezels, etc. This car was originally light yellow. It has never been wrecked to my knowledge from what I can eye. It drove straight and handled well when I had it on the road. It was totally stripped and repainted 25 years ago. What you see is one coat of emron paint with some rust areas that have bled through. Door panels and panels directly behind doors have some minor rust bubbles or places where paint has flaked and surface rust is present. There is surface rust or bubbles near vents and around hood and trunk trim. All sheet metal is original and car is very straight. Some minor sheet metal was added to inside rear driver fenderwell. Floor pans are original and in good condition with no rust through. some minor surface rust underneath car. Car did not leak water. All glass and most trim is good. Doors and hood and trunk operate well.Hinges are good. Windows are a little stiff from non use but go up and down. Fold down rear seat is intact and has original upholstery, not ripped, but showing a little age. Car has some minor surface rust and only one place near rear window trim that rusted through. Cowel area is good. Mirrors are from 69 mustang. I don't have original mirrors or steering wheel. Only metal damage that I know of are the holes that were cut in the shock towers and the holes that were cut in hood latch frame for old hood pins. Front frame bracket has a small dent/seperation where it apparently ran over something? Bumpers are straight and in good condition with some blemishes. Underside of hood has surface rust because battery acid sprayed on it. Battery box area is rusted and has partial replacement box. Rails/frame are all good. Car body is in overall good condition for its age and a good candidate to put back on road or restore. Exact mileage is unknown but estimate is approximately 145K. Car is as is with no guarantees. Email me for more pictures or questions. I have the clear title. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. $500 deposit is expected within 72 hours of sale with remainder due in one week. Car is located in Newport News Virginia.
