<<>> Up for auction is a beautiful 2003 Honda Shadow VLX VT600C in practically brand new condition. It is chain driven and has a standard four speed transmission (as do all Shadow VLX's of this vintage). The bike has a very very low seat height and low center of gravity so it is perfect for a new rider or a short rider (it is also quite comfortable for a tall rider because of the nice forward control type setup)... this is what lead my father to buy it at 87 years old and 5' 3" tall. His previous motorcycle was a 1978 GL1000 Gold Wing that he bought new. This motorcycle belongs to my father who is the original owner. He purchased the bike new as a leftover in 2004 at North American Warhorse on Rt. 6 near Dickson City, PA. My father is now 84 years old and though he is still very active he has decided it is finally time to give up motorcycling!!! The bike has been garaged since new, it has never spent a single night outdoors or been exposed to temps below freezing (the garage under the house never falls below around 40 degrees). The bike has also never gone down or been wrecked in any way and has been ridden only a few times each summer since new. The paint is a beautiful color that is halfway between blue and purple (it is original and has never been painted or touched up). This original factory paint job gets compliments frequently. The bike also has a Honda brand dealer supplied Windshield kit (easily removable leaving no trace it was ever there) and a pair of universal leather saddle bags. The saddle bags are just strapped on, so if you don't want them just unbolt the rear saddle, take them off, and put the rear seat back on and you are all set. The only defect on the bike that I am aware of is a few specks of rust on the rear wheel that I guess resulted from the fact that the rear wheel is a pain to dry off after washing the bike. I will spend a little time polishing the rear wheel and I imagine they will come off pretty easily. This is just very minor surface defects on the rim of the rear wheel. All other chrome is absolutely flawless as far as I have noticed. Happy bidding, this thing might as well be brand spankin' new!!!
