Vehicle Detail

1954 NASH STATESMAN CUSTOM BLACK & RED - Show & Go !! PININ FARINA DESIGNED This former Show Car is unique & rare find color combination of Red & Black. This is the Custom Model, a rarer & more sought after model than the base line Super; having the 3-speed transmission with electrical controlled overdrive and the sought after spare tire Continental Kit added to the rear of the car. The production of this model was only about of 1/3 of the production of the Super series, and less than ½ of the production of similar priced Ambassador models; this deluxe model having a similar price level as that of the Ambassadors. This 54 Statesman Custom was designed by famous Italian designer Pinin Farina. This STATESMAN AIRFLYTE CUSTOM is loaded out with the full continental spare wheel kit & a sun-visor. You can also note the side spot light/mirror on the driver’s side, along with full dash gauges, clock and radio options. .....This is a very unique car & rare survivor .... you will never see another one just like it! This is an older restoration of a show car. It was painted the stricking Black & Red 2-tone and has had the interior professionally redone to match. The paint has been well taken care of along with the interior looking like new. This car runs smooth & drives great. ( owner had added a AM/FM radio below the dash for cruising tunes; which could be easily removed if desired ) These cars were designed for traveling, camping ...maybe going to Drive-In movies as the front seats fully fold down to make a bed inside; do see photos with seats fully down, old ads for the car show a family sleeping on the road, with their blankets pulled. This car has been well taken care of and is not only rarer find, but a very solid survivor. This cars is dependable and has a 12 volt electrical system. This car recently had the engine redone, the carb rebuilt, the manual transmission just rebuilt with new gears/seals/fluids, a fresh engine tuneup & oil change along with having new exhaust work/manifold. It has newer tires, battery, excellent trim & original shiny hubcaps. (there is a crack in the drivers side window; replacement glass available at under $100.00) The bumpers are very straight and has car has shiny trims. All side emblems that have not yet been put on, such as the Pinin Farina roof trims, are in glovebox & included... along with a stack of original books and complete series of the full sized vintage Nash Service Books! This car is a very fun & easy driver. You will always get a "cool car" and "wow... what kind of car is that" and thumbs up wherever it goes... This is a very unique car that really draws a crowd and comments! ESTATE SALE: This car has been pulled from storage and is sold as shown. this car has a clear WA Title in hand.
