Vehicle Detail
2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, Automatic trans, Cold A/C, 3' Cowl Induction Hood, Chrome brush guard w/ PIAA driving lights. Aftermarket AM-FM-CD player, Black RHINO spray in bedliner, Aluminum bed/tailgate guards. Sliding-tinted rear window. PA State inspection good until October of 2011. BG Transmission fluid exchange completed at about 100 K miles. Exterior has dings and dents along with light scratches. Right rear quater panel behind the rear wheel had body work done before I purchased the truck. All the plastic is good on the interior and no cracks in the dash pad. Drivers seat cloth has been repaired, all seats need a good steam cleaning. Underside of the truck is clean, with very little rust... 500 miles ago had new rear brake pads, new front brake pads and new front rotors and new spark plugs installed. 300 miles ago had 4 brand new Goodyear, HL addition, Fortera tires mounted and balanced.... 50 miles ago, the engine started making a tapping noise at idle (it does not seem to effect engine performance) I took it to a local repair shop where they said the oil pan needed to be removed to check for a blocked oil pick up tube-pan was removed, no sludge and tube not plugged, no play in the crank or rod bearings. New pan gasket installed along with fresh oil and filter... next they removed a valve cover... could not find anything wrong with the tappets or rockers.... they said that the noise must be coming from the timing cover and that the chains and guides would need to be replaced.... The engine seems to run fine, has 80 lbs of oil pressure at idle, trans shifts good and the 4 wheel drive works...if you have some mechanical ability (or have a friend that does) to repair the noise, this would be a good inexpensive truck. In the past month or so I have spent almost $800 on tires and about $400 getting the engine diagnosed... I cant afford to get the noise fixed..My loss is your gain. This is a true, $1 start, NO RESERVE auction..whatever the high bid at the auction end is what I will sell it for.(the tires, wheels and hood should be worth $1,500!!)..that being said, you are buying a used truck with an engine noise--I CAN NOT offer or do I imply any kind of WARRANTY. You are more than welcome and encouraged to come and drive the truck before bidding. Satellite radio is NOT included and will be removed... Please email questions before bidding. The title is clear..no liens..not sure why WV and PA have the odometer listed as exceeding limit...it has a 6 digit odometer....
