Vehicle Detail

1977 Ford F150 Custom 4x4 This truck is BEAUTIFUL. I purchased it only a few months ago, but it's not serving my needs right now and I have too many vehicles (nowhere to park anymore -- especially since I just bought a lifted Chevy Suburban!) So... I hate to see this go, but I really don't have another choice. BODY & INTERIOR CONDITION: EXCELLENT. - Exterior: The body on this '77 is RARE and basically RUST FREE. It's something you won't see, especially in the northeast where the roads are salted every winter. There are just a couple VERY small paint bubbles on an otherwise beautiful silver metallic paint job -- you can't even notice them unless you search them out. All the usual places where you see rust on these old Fords is completely rust free (door jams, fenders, tailgate etc all good). It's two-tone, with black paint and pinstriping on the middle of the body. The truck's previous owner put a suspension lift on it and did it the right way, with front coil springs & dual steering stabilizers, and a rear block. The truck has 35" Super Swamper tires. The truck's bed is sprayed with black bedliner. There is a small hole in the bed floor, about quarter-size near the middle-front, otherwise perfect. Tailgate latch is tough to use, but is otherwise rust free - Chrome:. There is diamond-plate stainless steel along the bedrails and tailgate in great shape. All the chrome on the truck is near-perfect and rust free. The grille clip and chrome side kitsch on the sides have some light brush marks from past cleaning. The rear bumper is new/aftermarket and the chrome shines. - Interior: The '77 windshield is in perfect shape with no cracks or chips. The dashboard has no cracks like most trucks this age, and is in great condition. The truck has a rear-sliding back window and manual windows and locks. The floor has no carpet, to make for easy cleaning. The black floor material is beginning to peel a little around the 4x4 shifter, but is barely noticeable. The seat has a small split in the seam near the driver's side. When I bought the truck I immediately purchased a seat cover to ensure no more damage to the seats. It's an easy fix if you wanna have it sewn up. The previous owner wired the truck for a stereo system (Kenwood) with some new speakers. The CD player wasn't working when I tried it, but the radio works fine. The weatherstripping on the doors is a little loose and could use some re-gluing near where the speaker wires go from the dash to the door, otherwise it's fine. Overall, the interior of this truck is clean and awesome. MECHANICAL CONDITION: EXCELLENT. - Engine: I was told by the previous owner that the engine was rebuilt less than 10k miles ago. It certainly drives like it. I have no documenting paperwork for this when I bought it in December '10. A quick look at the engine bay shows a CLEAN and heavily modified '77 Cleveland 351cc V8 engine, with a lot of care and expensive aftermarket parts (Edelbrock, K&N, etc). The previous owner of this truck spent a lot of time turning this truck into his baby. The engine runs STRONG and is extremely powerful, with an insane amount of torque. The truck idles fast/heavy and likely needs a simple carbureter adjustment (edelbrock). This truck honestly has no problem driving at highway speeds in the 70's and accelerates like crazy. The truck starts up right away, and even in subzero temperatures just needs a little gassing and it'll start up strong, with a short warm up period before you could drive it through the arctic without a problem. - Transmission: The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and strong, as if it were brand new. It may have been rebuilt, but I don't know. The 4-wheel drive works perfectly and shifts easily, with "Warn"aftermarket manual locking hubs. - Electric/Lights: All the electic elements of this truck are perfect. All the lights work fine (headlights are perfect -- replaced one recently that burned out with a high quality Sylvania lamp), blinkers work, side markers all work perfectly. - Exhaust: is an aftermarket exhaust system on this truck which downturns just before the rear axle. It sounds like a MONSTER. When you punch the gas on this beast, it can honestly scare young children. One of the best 'roars' I've ever heard out of a truck. I'll try to post a video. AREAS OF CONCERN?: Hardly ANY. When I purchased this truck in December, I drove it from Flint, Michigan, to Northern New Jersey. I had no problems and I feel like I could comfortably drive this truck ANYWHERE. In my honest opinion, these are the only issues with the truck: Few small paint bubbles, re-glue weather stripping near speak wires, and have a carbureter readjustment to fix fast idling. This 1977 is a true gem. You don't see this year truck in such amazing physical and mechanical condition ever. It truly is BUILT FORD TOUGH. Thank you for your interest! ;-) DISCLAIMER: This truck is a 1977 vehicle (built in '76, making it 35 years old). No vehicle this old is perfect, and I don't claim that this truck is totally without flaw. So to cover myself, I am making this fact known. Be advised, this auction and this truck is being sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with no express guarantees or warranties. Please no tire kickers. Buyer is responsible for pick up or arranging shipping with a shipping company. I can give you recommendations if you want! Thank you!! EDIT: I will add more pictures when I get a chance! If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks...
