1975 Dodge D-100 ½-Ton Pickup Short BedNO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! Rare, Rare, Rare! When was the last time you saw a SWB Sport edition 1970’s Dodge pickup, especially with these options and colors? This truck is ‘Lil Reds’ older and wiser daddy! Always a southern California truck, rust free. I’m the second owner (12 years). The original owner used it for weekend get-a-ways. The truck has always been maintained as a stock show-n-go truck. Never used as a work truck. Here is your chance to own a real 1970’s Mopar! THE GOOD: Adventurer Sport edition with wide side molding and wood trim. Rare, Rare, Rare! Super rare Dodge factory color option ‘Bright Red’ with white accent. 360 V-8 engine. Same as used with Lil Red Express. Automatic 727 transmission. Power Steering. New pump just a few years ago. Power Brakes with new booster, newer rotors, newer drums, hoses, etc. Excellent condition. True dual exhaust with crossover balance pipe and two deep tone (mellow) mufflers. Not too loud, just enough tone to notice it.New Bridgestone Dueler H/T highway tires at five wheels, powder coated rims, red stripe vintage dog dish hub caps, and trim rings. New factory optional large size (27" wide) 3 row radiator. This truck never overheats. Holley dual pumper 4 barrel carburetor with economical small primaries and powerful (huge) mechanical secondarys. Recent balanced drive shaft and U-joints. Excellent front suspension, springs, and steering. New KYB shocks at all four wheels. Newer windshield. Nice and clear, no chips or scratches. Newer rubber seals at the windshield and all windows. Infinity AM/FM/CD stereo, no modifications to the dash...no cuts. Two 6x9 coax speakers behind the seat mounted in boxes with magnets to the floor (no drilled holes). Rare optional factory bucket seats with center storage compartment. The heater works like the devil made it himself. All controls work great. Factory air conditioning with vents in the dash, not under the dash...as it should be. Powder coated original rear step bumper. Newer wiper rubber. Wipers work great. The bed mat has been with the truck since new. The custom heavy rubber mat is in great shape (not dry or brittle) and is very useful. Cargo stays in place and won't slide around like the newer plastic mats/liners.Class III tow hitch mounted to the frame.Original Blue/Yellow CA licence plates. THE BAD: Air conditioning is not working but all the parts are complete. Powder coated rear bumper is showing rust at some seams. The factory bucket seats need fabric repair or replacement, there are a couple tears. The radio AM setting works intermittently. Transmission does not shift into reverse, all other functions are fine. The reverse broke recently, but not because of the front fender collision. There is a water leak that appears to be at the intake manifold-to-head gasket. A new manifold gasket should fix it. The original floor mat has some cracks and broken sections. Some of the hub caps have minor 'waves'.There is a loose clip at the windshield stainless trim. The truck needs a cleaning and wax. THE UGLY: The front fender, front bumper, and radiator support are damaged from contact with a light poll during a 2010 rain storm. Very minor damage to the right door (about the size of a coin), and even less damage to the hood. OTHER STUFF: Engine was originally a 318, but was changed about 6 years ago to a rebuilt 360 (from a 1972 Dodge pickup). The engine is all stock except for the Holley carburetor, and it has an aftermarket air cleaner. 179,700 miles on the odometer. Engine and trans has about 70,000. Suspension and brakes has around 15,000. Tires about 1000. No smog tests required in the state of California (1975 and earlier vehicles). Replacement parts have always been Mopar NOS, or NORS, or USA made. No china junk! The pictures show electrical wires at the base of the steering column, but that's because I forgot to put the decorative cover back on. The cover is included with the truck. The truck comes with a great used radiator support (correctly configured for the optional large radiator) to replace the damaged one. Also comes with a correct NOS grill ($200+ value) which has been preserved with mil OD paint since new. Its been nicely maintained as a stock daily driver for its entire life. A great driving and reliable truck. The truck was in amazing condition and was a real attention grabber…until the front fender collision last year. This truck is ready to go as-is, but life will be simpler once the transmission and water leak are fixed. It will be a show-stopper once the fender is fixed. Its killing me to sell this reliable old friend, but I’m out of space and parking spots. Here is your chance to own a real 1970’s Mopar!NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE!For sale locally, auction may end at anytime. On Mar-22-11 at 11:08:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: This auction started with a Buy-It-Now of $2885. The Buy-It-Now option was removed by eBay once the first bid was placed...I did not remove it. I wish it was still there, but they wont put it back. Please email me if you have questions. On Mar-23-11 at 11:34:43 PDT, seller added the following information: The dual exhaust does not have a crossover balance pipe as stated in the ad. I was thinking of a different truck. Sorry for the confusion.
