READ ALL BEFORE BIDDING!!! I have 100% positive feedback, it is important to me to keep it this way, as it gives confidence to buyers, I am honest and easy to work with. I have been an E-Bay member for many years as a buyer and seller. I really believe this would be a great car to restore, I did get a look at the under side of the car while it was on the U-Haul trailer before we hauled it to Ohio and did not see any major rust, just surface rust on the frame, I could not get all the way under it , also the fuel tank has been repaired by previous owner. I really wanted to keep this car for myself and restore it because it is so cool! The guys at the Chevy dealer said I probably have the only one in Newark! I did drive it about 20 miles to do the inspection, and noticed that the rod or wrist pin that is making the noise is not noticable if I have the gas pedal depressed even a little, so I kept pressure on it, even at traffic lights, if it idles it gets real loud and I didn't want the piston to break, so I was able to get it back to the house where it is now parked buy just using a little pressure on the accelerator. You can go to my profile and read the description of this vehicle when I bid on it, it is much different than the descripiton I give because I disclose the problems, where as the previous seller did not! This vehicle will need to be towed!!! The chevy dealer says it has what he thinks is a wrist pin or rod bering that is bad ! There is also a lifter ticking but it is not loud, so it probably can be adjusted, or what ever you have to do to fix it ( I don't know as I am not a mechanic and have never done that type of engine work) . I purchased this on the 1st of March from EBAY and the seller said it was a drivable car, he knew I would be driving it to florida and said it would be fine except for maybe I might have trouble with the radiator, well..... it is not the radiator! HE LIED!!! Although I did lose all the coolant at a toll booth, that saved the motor from seizing !! The Noise it was making when I first started it up, the owner said it makes that until it warms up, and I would need to feather the gas pedal also until the car warmed up because it doesn't accelerate very well because of the old carberator. well I got 10 miles and had to have it towed to Ohio where the mechanic said it was the wrist pin or rod and I would be better off putting in a new motor as I do not have anyone who could rebuild the motor for me. The Previous owner states he did the following work on the motor : I removed the engine and replaced the rings moisture got into the engine and stuck the rings. All of the gasgets were replaced along with a new timing chain cover and high volume oil pump kit. The battery and alternator are also new. Here is what I know about the car: It has new Firestone tires, brakes and rotors, ( hoses are good some are new some are not) and new wires, I took several pictures of the motor, the engine area is clean and no rust that I can see, there is a set of replacement brake light covers and outside mirrors in the back. The interior is rough, needs carpet ( hole on drivers side), headliner needs replaced as it sags, instruments don't work properly, heater works GREAT after car warms up, NO AIR! NO RADIO, although someone cut holes in the door panels for speakers and the dash for the radio, the A post covers need replaced... two holes on right side both are faded along with door panels, no cracks in top of dash but it is really dirty, seats look good but some of the springs need replaced, Lights, turn signals and flashers work, there are rust places some are surface and there are a couple holes, one on the left front quarter panel behind the tire, one on the bottom corner of the drivers door. one on the bottom corner of the right door , the right outside mirror needs replaced, THE CHROME LOOKS GREAT except for the door handles they look bubbled. The hatch back lifters do not work, also the lock for the hatch back is out and laying by the spare tire, there is a hole in the brake light cover on the right side and there are two replacement tail light assemblys in the back by the tire along with two outside mirror replacements that I believe are generic because the guy couldn't find the correct outside mirror for the right side. It has a locking gas cap with 2 keys. The inside of the door jams look good, I put pictures of each door on here, no holes or tears in the seats, was told that the milage is correct, it is almost at 67,000 miles. About 10 miles after I bought it, I was at a Toll Booth asking for directions to the DMV, and lost all the radiator fluid, I immediatley shut it off and called for a tow truck, no warning lights came on at the time IT DID NOT OVER HEAT, it was a clamp that was off the radiator hose, and the radiator cap was bad, it has been replaced along with a new clamp. I was told that this is a very popular car for dirt track racing ! It has a V6 motor but most guys put a V8 in it and it is a very fast car with a V8! This car will be sold in Ohio ( where I have family) . I tried to buy a car here close to Ohio so I could go to my Nephew's Benefit dinner and Auction... he is 35 and found out last month that he has stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, and I couldn't afford to purchase a car in florida and come here for the benefit too, so I looked for a car close to Ohio and ended up with a car that won't get me back to Florida and it took all the money I had to get it here, that is why it is up for sale, it will take me months to save up money to buy another car. Ebay won't help because it is over 10 years old.... so Make NOTE! MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR BEFORE YOU BID! I am honest and will not try to hide any problems I know about ... but I don't know how long this car will run as it will seize the motor if it is not fixed! THANKS FOR LOOKING! If you have questions I will be happy to try to answer them !
