Vehicle Detail
1976 Chevy C30 I'm selling this truck because the wife gave me an ultimatum... She said I had to choose between her or the trucks. It was a tough choice. I'm gonna miss her. I've owned this truck for three years. I bought it from the fella across the road. His wife had given him an ultimatum....She said he had to choose between her or..... Now it's your turn. You've always wanted a dually. There is just nothing else like it. This 1976 Chevy C30 has a rebuilt 454 motor and rebuilt transmission. There is a 4 barrel carburetor and custom dual exhaust. I don't know when they were rebuilt, but the motor runs strong and has good compression. The automatic transmission shift is crisp enough to snap your head back. I never expected to get an adrenaline rush from an old truck, but if you roll down the windows and step on the gas, the 4 barrel kicks in, that huge V-8 revs up, the custom dual exhaust growls, resonates and rumbles to a thunderous roar until the tranny shifts and the mechanical symphony starts all over in second gear. The balance of new front tires, rebuilt power steering, and front end alignment may make this the finest driving old truck you have ever seen. Need to go get a ton of something? No problem! Need to go get plywood, OSB or drywall and be able to close the tailgate? No problem. The 8 foot bed is huge... and with the tailgate down you can really haul some lumber. You can leave the trailer at home. But if you need to do some serious hauling, there is a tow ball on the bumper and one in the bed for your gooseneck trailer. There is a brake controller and a mega stereo amplifier under the seat. I never used either one..don't know if they work. Here's what I've had done: 10/14/2010 $200.00, Z's Muffler, Exhaust Manifold Service 10/1/2010, $300.00, Z's Muffler, Dual Exhaust 9/24/2010, $83.77, Tarrance, Lights and cab lights. 9/9/2010, 197449, $218.35, Miller. Rear end service, tune up, wires, plugs, dist cap, rotor. 9/1/2010, $362.12, Tarrance, Replace drive shaft and u-joints 6/19/2010, 196346, $35.50, Valvoline, OIL CHANGE 4/30/2010, $91.81, WalMart, Maxx76N Battery 7/10/2009, 190871, $130.29, Valvoline, Radiator flush, OIL CHANGE 11/30/2008, 185709, $126.00, Rear tire, service 4/14/2008, 182783, $325.74, 2 ea LT235/85R16, OIL CHANGE Also included are a couple of oil changes, lost documentation. Here's what I know needs to be done: There is rust on the body and the bed. There is a brake fluid leak on the left rear. Driver side rear view mirror. One gas tank is not hooked up. The AC compressor belt was removed by the previous owner to increase fuel economy, he said the AC worked fine at the time. The clock does not work. Radio knobs are speakers are missing. The speedometer cable was disconnected on 9/24/2010, another has been obtained but not yet installed. This vehicle has a clear title. The 1976 VIN number predates and therefore does not compute with the CARFAX type info database search engine affiliated with this website. Please don't hesitate to call Joe @ 800.981.7744 with questions or to schedule a test drive. You are welcome any time. Thanks for looking. It is your turn to own this great truck.
