Vehicle Detail
In this auction, we have a Triumph Bonneville T120R motorcycle made in 1969. This is a bike which was owned and maintained by a deceased Triumph enthusiast. It is being sold with a clear title on behalf of his widow who is now the current title holder. Reserve for this auction is $5,500 at the owner's request. For simplicity sake, I will list the most positive attributes of this motorcycle first. -- It has matching frame and engine numbers (shown in photos). -- The bike is in great shape with only minor blemishes (which I'll list below). -- This bike is in a stock configuration with original and working electrical components. -- Rims are original Dunlops and are in great shape with no blemishes. It has Dunlop Gold Seal K81 tires in like new condition. -- Idles well and is a first kick motorcycle (I have videos of this being started, and running if you would like to see them contact me for details). -- Working Smiths tach and speedometer (which may have been rebuilt -- so it's not clear if this mileage is accurate). -- Clutch and transmission are in fantastic working order. -- Potentially, it looks as if this has original paint as well. The negative aspects of this bike will appear in the photos below, but are essentially only cosmetic paint blemishes (small rust spot on top of gas tank near bottom of chrome strip where the saddle meets the tank, some paint degradation at top of chrome strip on spine of tank, some minor blemishes, and a paint blemish near the tank badge on the right side). We are also not able to provide detailed maintenance information for this bike since the death of my friend. The carbs have been resleaved since he did that to all his riders, and it's possible he has rebuilt some components of the bike (engine, transmission, etc). The bike runs great, however, so it's almost like it's a bike transported from the early 70s with just a little age and a few thousand miles on it. It will be a great rider and should serve you well should you choose to bid on it. A $200 deposit will be required within 24 hours of the auctions close (paypal is fine) and full payment within 7 days after the auction is closed (or upon pickup -- whichever is first). Buyer is to pay for and arrange for any shipping, or is able to pick the bike up in person. If you wish to inquire about alternate arrangements, please feel free to contact me. It's better to do this before you bid so arrangements can be made appropriately. If the bike is picked up, we will gladly accept cash in person, or you can pay with a verifiable funding source. Please note, however, we will only release the bike once we have been able to confirm the legitimacy of the funding source with our bank. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to help you. My email (and ebay account) are linked to my phone so I will likely have a very timely answer.
